We’re looking for someone tidy, sociable and responsible to join us and make this flat their home.
Flat
The flat is located on a quiet residential road just off Newington Green. The room is bright and warm (south facing) and comes unfurnished. There is room for a desk and chair if you’re working from home. There is a comfy living room with a TV and a separate kitchen with lots of fridge and cupboard space. We also have a spacious bathroom with a large bath and shower.
Flatmates
You’ll be living with Chloe (31, American) who is an admin assistant, Harry (28, English) who works in advertising, and Zoe, (30, English), who is a librarian and researcher. As usual, this isn’t a ‘party flat’ and we do our own thing but we enjoy a bottle of wine/watching a film together, cooking a flat meal together when we can and hanging out. We are a laid-back, friendly group and our flat is welcoming and accepting of all. We’re looking for someone to fit in with that vibe.
Area
Newington Green is a brilliant place to live. The transport links are great - we’re a 7-minute walk from Canonbury Overground station, 10 minutes from Dalston Junction/Kingsland and 15 minutes from Highbury & Islington (Victoria line). Newington Green is a 30-second walk from the flat with frequent buses to Shoreditch and central London. We’re just around the corner from Tesco Express and there’s a Sainsbury’s superstore 10 minutes away in Dalston. The neighbourhood is full of nice bars and restaurants and there is plenty of green space nearby: as well as being on Newington Green, Clissold Park and Highbury Fields are both within a 15-minute walk.
Rent/bills
The flat is well-priced for the area. Rent for the room is £715pcm and bills are an additional £120. This includes council tax (Band E), gas, electricity, water, internet and TV licence. We don’t pay for a cleaner so take it in turns to do a weekly clean (on top of general cleaning up after ourselves as we go).
We’re looking for someone to move in no later than the 3rd of November.
