Double room in N5

The house is Victorian, on 3 levels, with high ceilings and period features, and is located in a quiet residential street. There are 2 kitchens, 1 with bath/shower, and 1 with a shower only. There is a large shared lounge with a dining table in it. We have a cleaner who visits weekly to clean the communal areas. There is a large shared garden.

The room is on the top floor on the front of the house. It has an original fireplace, built in cupboard/wardrobe, chest of drawers, chair, sideboard/cupboard and bed. It is painted white with one dark green wall. The floorboards are painted white.

The house is close to Canonbury Station on the Overground, or about a 10-15 minute walk to Highbury and Islington tube. There are good bus connections with the City and West End. We are close to Newington Green, and easy walking distance to Dalston, Stoke Newington, and Upper Street. Clissold Park is about 10 minutes away. There is street parking only (permit from Islington). We have space for a bike in the hall.

It is very important that whoever moves in likes dogs. The dog is small and very friendly. Otherwise the house will suit someone who is clean and tidy, relaxed, considerate and lives a fairly quiet life. We are all friendly and happy to have a chat when we see each other, but everyone is pretty busy with their own life/work. One of us works mostly from home.

The garden is a lovely outdoor space to make use of if you like sitting outside. We have done quite a lot of work on it….however our keen gardeners have moved out, so it would be great if our next housemate likes gardening!
