THE FLAT...
This modern, spacious, light-filled double room is now available in the desirable Highbury Barn next to Highbury Fields within a recently refurbished period.
I am looking for someone quiet and relaxed. Living where I do, I like to eat out, enjoy the park in Summer and park myself in one of a zillion choices on Upper Street.
The pictures of the flat provide an accurate idea of the space.
In the main open plan living/dining area, you have all the mod cons you need, and as with the rest of the apartment, it is full of light, giving it an airy feel due to large sash windows and the double French doors that open up to a large sunlit (most of the year!) terrace.
The terrace has a BBQ and bistro set ideal for dinner or drinks outside when the weather permits.
THE AREA...
Highbury and Islington (Victoria Line and Overground) is an 8-minute walk through Highbury Fields- a pleasant, safe park rights the road from the apartment. It's a great place to take a walk, run, or even relax on a nice afternoon. If you are looking for a local gym, you will find Highbury Pool & Fitness Centre within the park. Alternatively, Premium Fitness First (Black) is five minutes away.
GETTING AROUND...
Highbury and Islington will take 4 minutes on the Victoria Line to Kings Cross/St Pancras (change for Circle, Piccadilly, Hammersmith & City, Northern, and Metropolitan lines) and 7 minutes to Oxford Circus (for Central Line and Bakerloo Lines.) The Overground will take you virtually anywhere, and the GMCR will take you directly to Mortgate. Bus route; 19, 4, 263, and 236 stop outside. The 19 goes to the West End and No. 4 to the City (both go to Highbury Station and Angel.) The 263 also takes you to Highbury Station and conveniently stops outside the local Tesco and Waitrose. To say the apartment location is well-connected is an understatement.
ISLINGTON...
Islington has been voted the best area to live in London. Besides Angel and Upper Street, which are both walking distance from the apartment, Highbury Barn ian excellentm within it. This gretremendouscal area has everything from an award-winning butcher selling grass-fed beef to a fishmonger and traditional greengrocers. Other essentials include a health food shop, dry cleaners, a convenience store, a cheese shop, a couple of delicatessens, a gift shop, hairdressers, a cobbler, a hardware shop, and several great food establishments and bars. Including your local Chinese takeout (probably not recommended!), but travel a bit further down to Au Lac - Vietnamese.) All this is within a few steps of the apartment - it's worth a wander around to see how great it is.
Good luck with your room hunt!
