1x Double Room by Highbury Fields

We have 1x double room available for rent in a bright 3-bed flat right next to Highbury Fields.

It is a ground floor unit in a converted office building. It is quite modern and new feeling, plus air conditioning (!!) and a concierge to receive packages are a major bonus. 2 mins walk to Highbury & Islington Station + Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury and Harvest all within 2 mins walking distance.

As mentioned, there are 3x rooms total in the flat. This double room would share a bathroom. The 3rd room/tenant has their own ensuite.

With regards to furniture, the flat came unfurnished, however the room has furniture available for sale for a reasonable price (bed, chest of drawers, bedside table, desk, chair, etc.) All of the living space furniture will be staying and is owned by me.

You would be sharing with myself (Steph, 33) and my flatmate (Michaela, 29)!

I moved to London from Vancouver nearly four years ago and work in communications/marketing. I work in the office about 3 days per week, and 2 days from home. Outside of work, I love travel, beginner surfing, ballet and exploring London’s art scene. Michaela moved to London from Australia two years ago and also works in marketing. Her work schedule is the same. She loves cooking (especially homemade pasta), running, exploring London’s restaurant scene, and is an avid reader and book club member. Her and I have been living together for 1 year now.

We have created a super cosy and peaceful home, not a party zone. We keep it fairly pristine, and we are looking for a flatmate who has the same standards for cleanliness. We lead pretty busy social lives, but we do also hang out quite a bit both inside and outside of our home. Whether that's family style dinners on Sundays and movies/shows on the couch, hangs at our fav local pub or gigs, we do it all. We definitely want this flat to feel like a home and not a place where we exist together as strangers. We are looking for someone who wants to join in on the vibe of the flat but also values independence and has a life here in London.

Rent: £1225 pcm + bills (biggest room in flat).

Bills: Around £155 give or take each on a monthly basis (this includes council tax, water, heating, internet, but does not include a tv license).

Total cost (rent + bills): £1,380

There is a £1115 deposit required.
