Hey there future flatmates! We have secured a massive beautiful flat in a great spot in Highbury and Islington and we are looking for a friendly and sociable couple to join us from 11 September 2024.
THE ROOM: the room is the biggest room in the flat on the top floor and comes with an ensuite. The couple would also get access to a small study / single room as well so you have a separate WFH space.
Please note in the pictures the study has the spare bed in it. This will be removed (landlords requirements). The room is also currently set up for a single person, however the bed can be easily moved near the window for more space.
THE FLAT: the place is very big - it comes with a spacious kitchen and large separate living area. There is also access to the garden and a separate south-facing terrace.
LOCATION: The flat is right next to Canonbury station and about 10min walk to Highbury and Islington station. The area is very relaxed and quiet but also you’re in walking distance to Dalston and Upper Street / Angel. Ideal!
ABOUT US: You’ll be living with Amy (32F) from Australia and me (30M) from NZ. We are two friends who have lived in London for a few years now and lived together previously meeting through SpareRoom. Amy is a physio (so won’t WFH) and I am a lawyer and WFH 2-3 days a week. We enjoy travelling, going to gigs and shows, movies and exploring all the cool things London has to offer, as well as chill nights at home.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We want to create a home that is fun, friendly, clean and sociable. We want to enjoy the people we live with. This won’t be a party home (although up for the occasional celebration) but we enjoy group dinner nights, heading out for a pint together, coffee walks and movie nights. At the same time, we are mindful of busy social lives and needing down time to recharge. However we are not looking for someone who just hides in their room. We are also LGBT+ friendly.
We are also looking for a third person to join us, so there will be five people in the flat. The place is very big so you will not feel on top of each other which is great!
The deposit is TBC (likely slightly more than one month’s rent).
