Spacious double room in a cozy flat (with garden!)

I’m looking for someone lovely to replace my current flatmate Jess in our gorgeous 2-bedroom flat in Drayton Park.

The flat is incredibly cozy and homely, with a beautiful private patio garden that gets sun for most of the day — perfect for relaxing, reading, or hosting in the warmer months. The kitchen is well-equipped and opens into the living room, creating a bright and sociable space. There’s one shared bathroom with a bath/shower, and a large basement that’s ideal for extra storage.
The flat was freshly painted just a year ago (with the bathroom also re-grouted), so everything still feels clean and well looked after.
The room itself is a great size, with a big bay window (so lots of light), and comfortably fits a double bed. It comes unfurnished, but has built-in wardrobes and drawers for plenty of storage, plus space for a large desk. The desk comes with the room, but the shelves and bed can be bought if needed.

About the area, Drayton Park is quiet but well-connected:
* 3 mins to Arsenal (Piccadilly line)
* 5 mins to Drayton Park station
* 15 mins to Highbury & Islington (Victoria line & Overground)
There’s also plenty of green spaces around — we’re a 10-minute walk to Highbury Fields or Clissold Park, and 20 minutes to Finsbury Park. The area is young, vibrant and quirky, with plenty of great cafes, restaurants, and pubs nearby, as well as tennis courts, and running clubs.

A bit about me - I’m a half French, half English lawyer working in commercial litigation in central London. I’m friendly, sociable, and enjoy being out and about — whether that’s trying new restaurants, exploring the city, or travelling. That said, I also love a cozy night in, cooking with a show on or reading a good book on the sofa. I love running and trying new fitness classes (especially when followed by coffee and a croissant!).

I’m looking for a considerate, clean, and respectful flatmate who values and prioritises a calm and tidy home, but also would want to share hobbies or cook dinner together or have a yap and a giggle at the end of a long day.
