Homeshare Location:
A five-minute walk to Highgate tube station (Northern line) and excellent bus links in to central London. Walking distance to beautiful Hampstead Heath and Kenwood House and the local cafes and shops in Highgate Village.

What the Opportunity involves:
In return for the low-cost accommodation (£199 pm), we are looking to match a female Sharer who is happy to provide around 10 hours per week of practical support around the home and some companionship.

Our homeowner is bright and engaging lady in her early 90’s who led an active and independent life before lockdown, since which time she has been more home-bound. She has some difficulty walking, so she walks slowly and carefully and is otherwise well and managing on her own.

She enjoys listening to classical music and jazz, music from the theatre and cinema, watching documentaries, animal programmes and keeping up with current affairs. Her family stay in touch and she spends a lot of time chatting to them on the phone.

She is looking to share her home with someone who is willing to provide a bit of practical help around the house such as tidying up, grocery shopping, putting things away and some IT assistance on her computer. She would enjoy sharing the odd meal together and possibly going out for a coffee or lunch and watching tv together occasionally.

Her ideal Sharer will be someone pleasant and kind, who might be a mature student, or working flexibly or from home. A driver would be lovely but is not essential.

Cost: £199 per month
plus possible contribution to council tax of £50 pm (students are exempt from Council Tax).
This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do not pay any rent to the homeowner.
