Double Room in Friendly Highgate Home (bills inc.)

I’m looking for a new lodger to join me in my semi-detached home in Highgate. The house is on a quiet street, just a short walk to Waterlow Park, Archway tube (Northern Line) and Highgate Village.

The room is a good-sized double, fully furnished with a bed, chest of drawers, and a large cupboard. There’s also a desk in the house, so you can comfortably work from home. The house has a big lounge, a large fully-stocked kitchen, bathroom plus a separate downstairs toilet, and a garden (it could do with some TLC if you enjoy gardening).

Rent is inclusive of all bills (council tax, water, gas, electricity, internet), which makes this a very affordable option for London, especially given the size of the property.

A bit about me: I’m a bike mechanic, keen cyclist, and I also enjoy kayaking, cooking, and the occasional trip to the local pub. I’m looking for someone who wants to make this house a home, not just keep to themselves. Sharing the occasional meal, film night, or pint would be ideal.

From time to time (maybe once every few months), family members stay briefly in the spare room, usually just for a day or two. You’re also welcome to have your own family or friends do the same by arrangement.

Move-in date: from 1 October (flexible)
Looking for someone long-term, ideally, if not at least 8 months
Viewings: evenings only (dates to be confirmed)
