The room is a spacious double with huge windows and a high ceiling, floor-to-ceiling shelves and a gorgeous black cabinet. The bedframe and mattress doesn’t come with the room.
New windows are currently being fitted and there are curtains which aren’t in the photographs.
The flat is laid out over the first and second floor of the building and has three bedrooms in total. The kitchen has plenty of storage space, a dishwasher, washing machine and drier - it is a modest size, but there is room for six people to sit down for a meal. The kitchen opens out onto a little roof terrace which gets a lot of sun and is a great place for trying to grow things and relaxing/socialising when the weather’s good. There’s no communal living room but the kitchen is a nice communal area for chatting and hosting meals etc. There’s also entrance hall on the ground floor that has space to store bikes. We deal with the landlady directly and she is good at sorting anything out that needs her attention (this also means no agent fees).
The location is great for enjoying North London’s green spaces. It’s just around the corner from Parkland Walk, 10 minutes walk to Queen’s Wood and Highgate Wood and 15 to Waterlow Park. Both Highgate and Archway tubes (Northern Line) are a 10 minute walk away and there’s a bus stop at the top of our road. There’s a small Co-op and a small Sainsbury’s 5 minutes away and several larger supermarkets in Crouch End and Archway (both 10-15 minutes walk).

Heledd: I'm 29 and work for a venture capital firm specialising in decarbonisation. I work from home 2/3 days a week. I enjoy yoga, reading, golden retriever spotting on the Heath and travelling.
Lauren: I’m a veterinary physiotherapist working in my dream role - rehabilitating animals! I work mainly with dogs but sometimes cats and horses.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with my partner, friends and family, enjoy yoga and exploring all of the best vegan restaurants and green spots across London.
As a true Gemini, I’m outgoing and enjoy quiet time and calm.
I try to be as eco as possible by eating vegan, buying from charity shops/Vinted etc, and at home, by implementing sustainability practices like recycling, using the dryer minimally, and buying (when we can) zero waste products.
We’re both pretty independent but like chatting whenever we’re around the flat and we occasionally go out for drinks together. Ideally you’d be someone who’s similarly independent but friendly and looking for a calm flat, and who would want to go out for a drink every now and then. We didn't know each other before living together, so don't worry about feeling like an outsider. We’re ideally looking for someone between 28 and 35 but please feel free to get in touch if you think you’ll be a good fit and don’t fit this age bracket. All identities welcome.
