Description
Hello!
I (Adam) am looking for someone to live with me in my lovely two-bed flat in Highgate. You’ll be replacing Ben, who adores the place but moving in with his partner.
The living room is spacious and benefits from incredible natural light. There’s a well-sized kitchen, airing cupboard with separate washer & dryer, and a shared bathroom. The flat is well maintained, and we have put a homely stamp on it.
The available bedroom is spacious with three built-in cupboards, and comes with a bed frame and chest of drawers. Its big, south-facing window enjoys some great sunrises and the sash design means the room is easily kept cool in the summer. The room comes with an en-suite bathroom - which Ben uses for storage, but you, of course, can do as you please.
Bills all in currently come to around £1150 which includes Wifi, Sky Sports, BT Sports, Netflix & Prime. It also includes water, gas, electricity, TV license, and council tax (band D). When essentials are needed (milk, washing tablets, etc), we split it between us.
We are the first floor flat on a pretty, fairly quiet street, a short walk from charming Highgate Village and literally right next to Highgate station (Northern line). The neighbours above and below are quiet, friendly and happy to collect our post.
The flat would would suit someone in the late 20s-early 30s who enjoys sports, socialising and general north London life - including its myriad excellent pubs - but at the same time values downtime and a peaceful, looked-after home. I’ve loved every second of the several years I’ve been here.
Ben’s tenancy expires on 29th October so we’re keen to find a new tenant in the next 2-3 weeks.
They must be able to provide references and pass background checks.
We use the zero deposit scheme.
Our US-based landlord, a friendly and very responsive chap called Russell, is very keen for the property to remain lived in by respectful tenants. I plan to be here for at least a couple years more, and ideally Ben’s replacement sees the flat as a home for the foreseeable.
Male preferred but if you're a female and the flat sounds right for you, please do enquire.
In terms of me… I’m a journalist, 31, from Cumbria who enjoys live music, sport (watching and playing), a Hampstead Heath walk / swim, and a local pint.
We plan viewings ASAP! Get in touch.
