A friendly and intelligent older lady with reduced eyesight and some memory loss is seeking a Sharer for her home to give her a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would really benefit from some practical help around the house including help with IT and admin (such as simple IT/helping her learn to do more on her tablet, reading small print, filling in forms), some shopping, cooking and sharing a couple of evening meals each week, and ad hoc help with light household chores and errands. She would also really enjoy the friendly reassurance of having someone around her home in the evenings/overnight, and some interesting conversations.

The accommodation on offer is large double room, furnished with twin beds, a desk and large wardrobe. There is a shower room which is just shared with the person’s guests. Also shared use of the kitchen and dining room. The property is an airy ground floor apartment in a mansion block with beautiful communal gardens and access directly onto Hampstead Heath.

The property is conveniently located in Highgate 5 min bus ride (or 15-minute walk) to Kentish Town Tube (Zone 2 Northern Line). Gospel Oak Overground Station is a 10-minute walk away. There also several buses.

The lady is bright and enjoys an interesting discussion. She is interested in current affairs, feminism, left wing politics, literature and art, Classic FM, the news and documentaries. Having worked as a director of a women’s health charity, she will enjoy hearing about her Sharer’s work or studies. She also loves animals.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the lady’s interests.
