A bit about us

You'll be sharing with Safia (28, girl working in an NGO), and Hima (28, girl and a civil servant) .

We’re both young professionals with busy jobs. I'm fully remote although I occasionally travel with work and Hima is hybrid and in the office a few days a week. We're generally sociable in the evenings and on weekends. We enjoy catching up on shows together, craft nights, hosting dinner parties now and again.

We’re looking for a woman our age who’d like to build a friendship as well as live together. We're inclusive and POC and LGBTQ+ friendly. It would be great to have someone who has experience renting and living in a shared space. Since it’s our home, we all try to chip in to keep on top of cleaning, respect boundaries, and contributing to make the flat a nice space to live! We're flexible about move in date, but ideally sometime around mid-late Jan.

About the room 🛏️
You'll be renting a large double bed room (fits a king size bed with ease), sharing a bathroom with one other person. There's no in-built storage, but there is a small loft space for storage that comes with the room. You would need to buy a bed, desk if you WFH and storage, and there is also potential to buy some of our current flatmate's furniture.

The flat 🏡
Large 3 bedroom flat (first and second floor) with separate kitchen and large living room with a TV, large sofas and a burgeoning plant collection. It's perfect for dinner parties and movie nights. Bills come to £181 at the moment and they are at a fixed monthly rate. This includes everything i. e. council, water, energy, internet.

Location 🌳
We live in a lovely area with lots of nice independent shops, charity shops and restaurants etc nearby. Close to Highgate Wood, short walk to Waterlow Park and Highgate Village, and less than 20 mins to Hampstead Heath, Crouch End and Muswell Hill. We also live right across from the Parkland Walk which goes from Finsbury Park up to Ally Pally and is great for runs and walks. We also have a tonne of fantastic pubs within a 10 minute radius.

Transport 🚉
Less than 5 min walk to Highgate Tube Station and around the corner from the 134, 43 and 234 bus stops. You can get to central London in around 20 mins.

Contracts 🧾
Rent is £979 per month up until May (when our current lease ends). We plan to renew and expect a small increase.
