Description

Hiya, a bit about us! My friend and I are looking for a third person to join our gorgeous home in Highgate. Our close friend is in the process of buying a house, and while we’re sad to see him go, we’re excited to find a lovely new housemate (and hopefully a friend!) to share this lovely space with. You’ll be living with Safia (28, works at an NGO) and Hima (28, a civil servant).

We’re both young professionals with busy jobs, but after long days this house really feels like a gem to come home to. It’s a spacious 3-bedroom house (first and second floor) with a separate kitchen and a large living room featuring our giant TV (a must), cosy sofas, and a burgeoning plant collection! Perfect for dinner parties and movie nights, which are quickly turning into a film club.

You’ll be renting a large double bedroom which easily fits a king-size bed. The room comes unfurnished, so you can really make it your own. There’s potential to buy some furniture from our current flatmate, but generally you’ll need a bed, maybe storage, and a desk if you work from home. There’s also a handy loft space for storage, and you’ll share a bathroom with one other person.

We’re looking for a woman who wants to make a house a home and build a friendship too. We’re super inclusive and POC/LGBTQ+ friendly. Since it’s our home, we’re all on top of cleaning, respecting boundaries, and contributing to make the house a nice space to live! I'm fully remote although I occasionally travel with work and Hima is hybrid and in the office a few days a week. We're quite sociable, often cook dinner together, catch up on shows, visit the pub and enjoy London activities on the weekends. That said, the overall vibe of the house is calm and cosy; we both really value a peaceful space after busy workdays.

Important details:
Rent: £979/month until May (lease renewal expected with a small increase).
Bills: £181/month (fixed rate, includes council tax, water, energy, internet).
We're flexible about move in date, but ideally sometime around mid-late February.

In terms of location, Highgate is gorgeous. There are lots of independent shops, restaurants, and pubs with fireplaces nearby. We’re close to Highgate Wood, Waterlow Park, Highgate Village, and less than 20 mins to Hampstead Heath, Crouch End, and Muswell Hill. The Parkland Walk is right across the street, perfect for runs and walks.

Transport is excellent: less than 5 mins to Highgate Tube (Northern Line), and bus stops for 134, 43, and 234 are around the corner. Central London is about 20 mins away, so you get the best of both worlds - quiet and green, but super accessible to central.

If this sounds like a good fit, please reach out and tell us a bit about yourself too!! 😊
