Double Room in Hither Green / Lewisham (Bills inc)

Hello! I’m looking for a youngish professional person to rent a room over the summer (15th June - 1st October). The flat is between Hither Green and Lewisham in South East London. You'd be sharing with me and my flatmate Cait.

It’s a two floor flat with a decent sized garden in a convenient location for those working in South East London or around London Bridge, Waterloo or Charing Cross areas.

The price of the room is £785 pcm inclusive of bills. This works out as £600 pcm rent + £185 bills.

The double room is a decent size (3.2 x 2.8 m ish) and the flat itself is larger than the average two bed flat. The two bedrooms are on separate floors, so everyone has a fair bit of space and privacy. There is a shared sitting room and a separate kitchen, both of which are large enough to hang out in.

The room is ready to move in to from 15th June until 1st October as after that I'll be moving back in.

Room Description:

A furnished double room with a view of the garden. The room is first floor and is quite light with full sun in the morning. Built in wardrobes and large chest of drawers.

Location:

A quiet side street between Hither Green and Lewisham. An 8 min walk to Hither Green Station or 15 mins walk to Lewisham station.

Nice neighbours and mostly Victorian properties in the nearby area. Two big supermarkets in walking distance and good pubs/cafes/restaurants at Hither Green. Loads of practical shops in Lewisham (Boots, H&M, TK Maxx, Primark, WH Smiths etc.)

Pretty near to Mountsfield Park and Blackheath for running and picnics. Just about walking distance to Greenwich park (around 30 mins over Blackheath).

Transport:

Stations: Hither Green is the closest station (8 mins walk) which has around 6 trains an hour London Bridge (10 mins) and 4 trains an hour to Charing Cross (18 mins), Cannon Street (15 mins) and Waterloo (14 mins).

Lewisham is a 15 mins walk and it has same National Rail trains as above as well as ones to Victoria and Blackfriars. It also has the DLR (every 4-8 mins) which connects to the underground and gets to Canary Wharf in 15 mins and Bank in 20 mins.

Permit parking outside the property so if you have a car, you can typically find parking right in front. The fee for the permit isn’t extortionate (may be around £160 per year, but check with Lewisham council if you're interested).

About the flatmates:

You’ll be sharing with me (Robin, 37) the owner of the flat and Cait (32) who is my existing flatmate. I work at art galleries in Deptford and Bermondsey and Cait manages reception staff for a company near London Bridge.

We are both around the house a bit in the week and out most of the weekends. We're looking for a single professional or higher ed student to share with. If you are interested in art or other creative stuff, that would be a bonus. It would be grand if you are up for hanging out a bit and watching shite tv too.

When you reply to the ad it would be much appreciated if you could tell us a little about yourself as we're looking for someone to enjoy living with, rather than just renting out the room.

Bills & Deposit:

Council Tax, Water, Internet, Gas / Electricity as well as TV Licence are all included in the rental price. This comes to £190 per month but is included in the all- inclusive rental price for convenience.

One month rent/bills deposit is required up front (£785).
