Description
Hey,
I'm moving out of town so it's time to find someone to take over my room.
It’s ‘cosy’ (i. e. small) but I've lived happily in it for 3 years. To give you a sense of size, I've managed to fit in a small double bed, a bedside table, a fold out desk, a bespoke over engineered bookshelf and a chest of draws while leaving just about enough floor space to stretch. There is additional space to put things in the storeroom which is helpful. The room looks out onto a quiet green street and gets the late afternoon sun.
For me the real selling point of the house are the two large courtyard gardens. We put work into making these nice each summer by planting lots of flowers and growing excessive amounts of tomatoes (and other vegetables), some of which inevitably die early when we under/overwater them.
The kitchen is big with a large dining table, sofa, decent gas stove and electric oven, two fridge freezers, storage space, microwave, toaster, kettle etc etc. There are two toilets in the house, one shower. The shower isn’t amazing (poor water pressure) but just try and enjoy it as a gentle misty spa experience (Urko's words). We don’t have a living room but don’t miss it because we hang out in the kitchen/gardens.
We’re a friendly house so getting on with my housemates is essential. Urko is an architect, Ana is a nurse and Ben is an accountant. Like all good millennials we bond over houseplants and food. We go out and do our own things but its important to us to keep the house clean, tidy and quiet (especially because Ana works long hours sometimes on the weekend as well as in the week). We don't smoke in the house but we do have a comfy covered area out the front where you can smoke.
Best of all the room is super cheap for the neighbourhood: approximately £540 a month all bills included.
Move in date is either the 29th February or 14th March. (I'm moving to the USA on the 14th March but am on holiday from the 28th Feb - 8th March, so could potentially move out before going away).
Anyway, just get in touch if you have any questions or would like to arrange a viewing.
