After 4 years, I’m sad to be leaving one of London’s best flat-shares to move in with my partner.

THE FLAT

It’s a four-bed flat a few floors up in a block just off Holloway Road, less than a 10-minute walk from Holloway Station, about 15 from Highbury & Islington, and surrounded by pubs and supermarkets.

It’s been a flat-share for over 10 years now, so it’s had a lot of love poured into it over the years, and the décor, plant life and general atmosphere really reflect this. It’s got a massive living room, a nice kitchen, and even the sizeable separate reception room has its own vibe. The flat has 4 bedrooms in total, with 3 bathrooms.
From the living room you can access a shared roof terrace with our lovely neighbour Ben, and above that a huge roof terrace just for us. The flat literally has two roof terraces.

We deal with the landlord directly and communication has always been smooth.

THE ROOM

It comes half furnished.
There’s a double bed, desk, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
When I moved in I painted the room green (“sprig of sage”) but the new tenant will be free to repaint it if they so wish.

THE PEOPLE

- Beth (26, USA) works for the NHS and moonlights as a community organiser. She also spends some time writing, painting, and playing banjo

- Vic (34, Melbourne) works in Tech and prefers the sunlight over the moonlight. Loves a day trip, wine bars and baking.

- Cree (32) from Syd, AU. She makes ceramics, moonlights in hospitality and cooks a lot.

- Wade (36, Kiwi). UX designer who doesn’t moonlight because he’s normally in bed by 10, unless he’s out at a gig. He also enjoys playing and watching sport.

We have a generally fun, cheery vibe. There are plenty of keen chefs willing to make group meals, and we hang out a fair bit when people are free – and the occasional excellent party.

We’ll arrange some initial viewings so you can see the view from the terrace. We like to be thorough with our search and we're not in any rush, however the room could be made available as soon as early June but needs to be filled by late June at the latest.
