Double Bedroom in Maisonette - Finsbury Park

Hello!

We’re looking for a lovely female or LGBTQ+ housemate to join our home in Finsbury Park. The room is a bright, spacious double bedroom with plenty of storage, available for £1000 (not including bills), with an end-of-June move-in.

The bedroom is located on the ground floor next to the kitchen and living area.

The Flat

The flat is a characterful Victorian maisonette spread across three floors, connected by small landings. It has a cosy open-plan living room and kitchen, and the house is shared with a lovely couple who live in a separate flat underneath. The only shared area is the main entrance corridor.

The home is clean, quiet, fully furnished, and has great storage space throughout the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen.

About Us

We have been best friends since the age of 13, and are both very social girls. We love a cheeky pub visit, or an event to go to with friends, but also really value a peaceful home life. We like to ensure that our home is somewhere where our shoulders can drop and we can relax in a safe space. So movie nights and cooking dinner together is also something we love to do. Both of us are part of big social circles and really value our friendships so would love our new housemate to be a social character too. We love to have friends around, but prefer a peaceful environment when we have visitors.

We are both 25 years old and working professionals, Lauren works in Healthcare PR and Lily is a Film and TV set painter. Lauren works from home a few days of the week, depending on when she feels like it. She will be working from the living room on these days and this will need to be respected too. Lily works 7am-4pm so is an early riser during the week, sometimes having to be awake for 5am. She is very respectful of noise levels at that time and asks that our new flatmate is respectful of her bedtime with noise levels too.

About Maggie the Cat

Maggie is STRICTLY an indoor cat and has been since birth. We cannot stress enough how much this needs to be respected and for our new housemate to make a conscious effort to avoid her getting out. Maggie is Lilys cat and she is responsible for her maintenance. Maggie is truly the most gentle cat and has never shown any sort of aggression to anyone she has met. She will never steal your food if left out and won’t try to drink from your glasses either. She is INCREDIBLY affectionate, nobody’s lap is safe if they sit down with her close as she will always come over for cuddles. And if you’re comfortable with it she loves being spooned in bed. She is incredibly loved in this home.

Location

The flat is around a 10-minute walk from Finsbury Park station, with easy access to the Victoria and Piccadilly lines. You can get to Euston in around 15 minutes and Oxford Circus in around 20 minutes. It’s also a 2 minute walk to various bus stops.

The area itself is vibrant and community-focused, with amazing fruit and veg markets, a large cinema, charity shops, pubs, restaurants, and two gyms all within walking distance.
