Description
After living here for over 3 years, I’m super sad to be leaving my double bedroom in Holloway, so I’m looking for someone to replace me from the 14th of November.
The house
It’s a 4 bedroom house with a large kitchen and bathroom with a separate toilet, and a small living room. We have a roof terrace/patio accessible from the kitchen which is nice and sunny. There is also a large storage cupboard that we use as communal storage for suitcases and the likes.
The room
This is a larger double room with two windows and nice, high ceilings, of around 4m x 3m. It comes with two chests of drawers, wardrobe, desk, desk chair, shelving unit, bedside table and bed.
The flatmates
You’ll be living with Frazer, 38, working as a box office manager, Oscar, 31, working in student halls and Declan, 28, a civil servant. Everybody is busy with their own lives and work, but friendly and easygoing. It’s a very chilled out household, everybody is welcome to have people round but there’s no big parties or anything. We generally have different schedules and have found minimal issues with overlap using the shower or kitchen for cooking.
The area
The flat is in a great location, super well connected with many buses running from our front door, Holloway Road (Piccadilly Line) is 7 minutes away, Upper Holloway (Overground), Archway and Tufnell Park (Northern Line), Finsbury Park and Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line + trains + Overground) are all 15-20 mins walk (or quick bus ride) away.
There is a big Morrisons, Waitrose, Lidl and Iceland about 2 minutes walk away, as well as loads of other shops/fast food shops and stalls in Nag’s Head Market. There’s also all sorts of pubs and restaurant options on Holloway Road, and nearby in Stroud Green Road and Upper Street.
I think this room is great value, in an amazing location in zone 2 with really great housemates - I’m very sad to leave. Frazer has been here for 5 years, Oscar and I joined 3 years ago and Declan has lived here since May, so we’re keen to find the right person to join. The current lease renews in November and the contract will then either run on a month to month basis or a new one will be signed. The lettings agents are responsive, and both the letting agent and the landlord have always been easy to work with and reasonable.
The deposit will be £750 and bills come to approximately £95 per person per month (including electricity, water, gas, council tax and wifi), give or take.
