Description
We are 3 professional, friendly, kind and inclusive women living in our cosy 4 bed flat in Homerton.
The room available has light, with one set of windows overlooking Mabley Green, and a double bed, large wardrobe and enough for a desk.
The highlight of the flat is the living space. We have an L-shaped sofa, a dining table and chairs, and a big TV. We have timed heating, and an excellent hot shower and bath!
From Saturday 17th January 2026, the rent paid directly to the landlord is £650, plus roughly £36.50 Council Tax per month that one of the flatmates pays to Hackney Council. I. e., It is a total of £690 per month, including bills and a Netflix subscription! In addition, the TV Licence is £40 each per year.
We have very good landlords who are responsive and make sure things are fixed promptly. You can paint your room and they pay for the paint! And there is no security deposit which keeps things simple.
We have a flat Splitwise account that we use to split the cost of items such as, but not limited to: Ecover laundry detergent, Ecover fabric softener, and cleaning products. We have also chosen to split the cost of some essential groceries like milk (this can be discussed if you don't want to participate!). The flat comes with utensils, cutlery, glasses, mugs and crockery, so anyone new moving doesn't need to bring more unless they want to.
There is an induction hob, oven, microwave, and dishwasher that we tend to the use everyday for most items.
We don't pay for a cleaner so anyone moving in will have to contribute to cleaning shared areas. This is done on a rota basis (pinned to our Malmsmead Whatsapp group).
We are looking for a professional / working person who is warm, kind, friendly and generally clean! The room is available from 1st January 2026, which is the first day of rent.
Some of us are in relationships and are dating people so people do stay over regularly but we are mindful of each other's space.
