Short-term comfortable double room in fab Homerton

Hello there,

I’m looking for a flatmate for the summer to share my spacious, sunny flat. Juggling timings and practicalities means the room is available from the 14th June to the 24th August, with some scope to be flexible on dates if needed.

The large bedroom comes with a king-sized bed, huge wardrobe space, drawers, shelf, desk - everything you need.

The kitchen is well-equipped and there’s plenty of space for having friends over and getting round the table. The sitting room’s lovely, with great light and a balcony off to the side. There's also a surprisingly comfy sofa bed so friends (mine and yours!) can stay over.

The bathroom and toilet are separate and the bedroom is the larger of the two: 13’x11’. Feel free to make the room your own, hang pictures up etc.

All bills are included (gas, electricity, water, wifi) except council tax which is band B.

The flat is on the ground floor of a low-rise block on a leafy, green estate. Surrounded by plants and lawns, there is a good sense of privacy. The neighbours above are pretty quiet and there are no adjoining walls to another flat so it's nice and peaceful. The flat is also fitted with double and secondary glazing so is very well-insulated.

For bike and other storage there's a generous cupboard beside the front door. You can also get an estate parking permit from £56 p/a.

The flat is very well-located. Homerton Overground is a 3-minute walk with regular trains. Hackney Downs is around 15 minutes away for the Liverpool St line. Lots of buses. Chatsworth Road is round the corner, with its various shops, cafes and Sunday market. The canal and marsh are a short walk away and Hackney central is about 10 mins - an ideal mix of urban and green.

I work as an editor and writer, generally from home. I like exploring around, reading, cooking, gardens. I also like a drink and enjoying city life! Looking for someone who is considerate, easy-going and curious. Up for hanging out, occasional dinners together, popping to the pub but equally has their own stuff going on.
