Description
Sadly, I’m moving out of my lovely home in Homerton, and we’re on the lookout for the perfect person to take over my room. Available from 19th January 2025.
The Room:
This is a large double room on the second floor, offered unfurnished, however, I am able to sell on some furniture (desk, mattress, bed frame). The room has built-in wardrobe space (1 hanging rail, 2 shelves, and additional space underneath this that fits a laundry basket or small dresser). There’s plenty of room to work remotely, and the room gets lovely morning sunlight (the garden and lounge get the afternoon sun). The room has two larger windows and a smaller one, all that open, which is great in summer!
The House:
The flat is across two-floors, with the added bonus of a large private garden with a covered spot for bike storage. Upstairs are three bedrooms, (two large, one small) and a bathroom with a bathtub and shower. Downstairs, we have a separate kitchen and lounge, as well as an extra toilet. You’ll be sharing the space with two wonderful housemates—both named Emma! We’re a social house and would love someone new to be social and want to stop for a chat or come out for a coffee, but with respect for each other’s space, so it's a great balance. Dog lovers will be pleased to know that Julie, a very cute, very little, very friendly dog, also lives in the house. Ideally the girls would prefer another female, non-binary or queer housemate.
The Location:
- 4-minute walk to Homerton Overground Station
- 6-minute walk to Victoria Park with beautiful canals nearby (perfect for a lunchtime stroll!)
- 8-minute walk to Well Street, with a large Tesco superstore
- Easy access to Hackney Wick, Hackney Central, London Fields, and Broadway Market
- 15-minute bus ride to Dalston
- 1-minute walk to bus stops for the 26 and 30, which take you straight into central London
- Tons of great pubs and restaurants nearby!
Rent & Contract Details:
- Rent: £945/month, with bills around £100/month
- THIS IS NOT A SUBLET—you’ll be added as a named tenant on the lease, which runs until August 2025. After this, you’ll have the option to renew the contract.
- Your deposit will be protected in the Tenancy Deposit Scheme.
- The estate agents are happy to discuss longer-term contracts (e. g., 2 years) after the current one ends.
- Council tax band C
