Description
Hi there! We’re Justin and Marta, moving to this flat on 13th October and 1st November respectively. We are looking for a third flatmate to join our new home.
Move-in date: ideally the 27th of October, though, do let us know your availability.
Justin - (he/him, 37) works for a web agency (building websites). My main interests are art and craft things (photography, making clothes, and lots of other stuff too). I'm learning Spanish, and I sing in a community choir. I also do lots of running and cycling.
Marta - (she/her) is in her early 40s and works in digital communication. She’s a film buff, sociable, loves a good chat over a cup of tea, but equally values downtime and peace. She loves hiking, making obscure ceramic objects, and walking along the canals.
We’re looking for someone around our age, mindful of noise, with good cleaning standards, and happy to contribute to the flat’s upkeep.
About You:
Preferably not working full-time from home (a couple of days per week is fine).
Considerate of noise, we want to keep zen vibes in the house. Tidy and with good habits of cleaning after themselves. Proactive when it comes to sharing responsibilities like house maintenance and upkeep.
We want someone who’s mature about flat-sharing, communicative, and wants to make the space feel like home.
The Flat:
No smoking, no couples or pets, unfortunately :(
First-floor 3-bed flat + living room, spacious kitchen with dining table, bathroom + separate toilet.
Utility room where we store our bikes and miscellaneous cleaning items.
Furnished, bright, and carpet-free.
Your Room:
Spacious double room with a bed, mattress, two wardrobes, desk, chair, chest of drawers, and two bedside tables.
Location:
Homerton High Street – traffic noise (including ambulances), but great transport links. Hackney Central is 10 mins away, Homerton Overground is 5 mins. Plenty of buses, shops (Co-op, Tesco, M&S), and the ever bougie Castle Cinema a stone’s throw away.
Rent & Admin:
Rent: £750/month (includes water, council tax, WiFi).
Deposit: £750 (Deposit Protection Scheme).
Utilities: Gas and electricity on a top-up system, approx. £30 each, more in winter.
Landlord requires references, proof of income, and the right to rent.
We’re hosting viewings on the evenings of Thursday 9th and Friday 10th October (6.30 - 8pm). Victoria, the last tenant moving out at the end of October, will be present during the viewings too to show the place around.
If interested, please get in touch with a bit about yourself and your ideal move-in date!
We’ll be going through the messages every couple of days. If you haven’t heard from us, bear with us, we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
