Description

Our lovely flatmate Morane is moving on to pastures new, which means a single room will be available in our flat from May. We will be holding viewings over the next week or so - no exact dates atm, so get in touch to discuss if you're interested!

THE ROOM
The room is a comfortable single on the second floor. Comes with a double bed and mattress, desk, shelf, mirror, and clothes rail. There is storage space under the bed too. The room has the added benefit of staying nice and warm in winter.

THE FLAT
Four bedrooms split over a three floor tenement building, with a nice bathroom, a shower room and fully-equipped kitchen. The usual things you would expect: oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle and even a washer-dryer combo. Truly living in the future. There is no living room, but the kitchen is large enough to have a few people over and hang out in comfortably. There is also a front yard with a herb garden, perfect for barbecues and hanging laundry during the summer.

THE PEOPLE
Joel, Brendan and Hugo, a social bunch in their late twenties/early thirties. We all have busy lives working in hospitality, the arts and consultancy respectively, but we enjoy catching up over a cup of tea in the kitchen, going out to the pub or tagging along to the cinema together when the opportunity arises. If that sounds like you, then you'll feel right at home. We would also really like our new housemate to be able to take initiative with the shared general cleaning duties, as although we are laid back, we like our home to be tidy.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Probably the best part about this flat, beyond the people living in it. The street itself is nice and quiet, but we're a short walk away from the fantastic Lower Clapton Road, which has restaurants, pizza places, cafes and bars galore. Hackney itself has two excellent cinemas, a big Tescos, several quality bars and venues. If you want to break out, Hackney Marshes and the River Lea are perfect for an evening stroll (once the weather picks up again!) There's Stratford Westfield over to the west and just south of us is lovely Victoria Park and Borough Market on Saturdays, which is a must for all food enthusiasts. Really, whatever your bag is, you can find it here. We're equal distance between Hackney Central and Homerton station on the Overground line (10 minute walk, tops) while nearby Hackney Baths has several night buses that will take you to and from anywhere else you need to go, any time.

BRASS TACKS
All bills - including gas and electricity, council tax, water and broadband - currently come to around £100 per month. The landlord is easy-going and very responsive if there are any problems. In order to pass affordability checks, the landlord asks that you be in full-time employment and earning £25k+. We're planning on holding viewings over the next few weeks (no exact dates, but evenings preferable). Drop us a message if you would like to come by or have any questions!
