Description

About the house:

We have two spacious double rooms available in our lovely 3-bed house, featuring a separate kitchen and living room, a garden, a conservatory, and an additional office space (spare room). The rooms are available immediately.

Rent is £766.66 per month, and bills typically come to around £130 per month. The deposit is £846. The house is ideally located between Honor Oak and Forest Hill stations, with easy access to Peckham, Brixton, and Lewisham.

Please note: the room is unfurnished, though there may be some options to purchase furniture.

It's less than a 15-minute walk to both Honor Oak and Forest Hill stations, with access to the Overground and direct routes to London Bridge and Canada Water. There’s also a bus stop nearby offering routes to Lewisham and Brixton. The area is lovely, especially in the summer, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs, gyms, and parks just a short walk away.

The landlord is reliable and quick to handle repairs. The tenancy would be for one year, with a 6-month break clause.

Important note: The house is situated at the top of a steep hill with uneven steps leading up, so it may not be suitable for anyone with physical disabilities. We encourage you to apply if interested, but wanted to flag this consideration ahead of time.

Perks: Tumble dryer, dishwasher, full-sized fridge and freezer, and two toilets—no bathroom queues!

About Us:

You’ll be sharing the house with two professionals, Afua and Amirat:

Afua (24) works as an Agent Assistant in Central London and is in the office most days. In her downtime, she loves baking (expect plenty of homemade cake), sports documentaries, and history podcasts. She's known for her warm, bubbly personality and loves a good laugh over a glass of rosé, a game of UNO, or just a casual chat on the sofa. She's what you might call "house proud" and is hoping to find a new housemate who shares that sentiment.

Amirat works as a Creator at Vayner Media, where she develops short-form content and campaigns for brands like Asda, Zoom, Durex, and NatWest. A creative at heart, she also makes content for her personal channels. Amirat is passionate about film, trivia, and all things pop culture.

About You:

We're looking for a mid-twenties professional (freelancers welcome!) who’s proactive about keeping the shared spaces clean and contributing to household chores.
Someone who is considerate of others' space and privacy. Ideally, you’re someone who already has their own community in London and is looking for a calm, comfortable, and welcoming home.

While we're a social household, we prefer a relaxed atmosphere—so if you’re more of a party-goer, this might not be the best fit.

We'd love to hear a bit about you in your opening message: your age, job, hobbies, etc.

LGBTQ+ and POC friendly.
