Double room for rent - Honor Oak

About the area:
The house is in-between Forest Hill and Honor Oak Park stations (Windrush line), about a 10/15 minute walk to both. It’s a fairly residential area but there are some nice coffee shops in walking distance. If you’re looking for something a bit more lively, you can get the P4 to Brixton in about 30 minutes or there are plenty of buses that’ll get you to Peckham in 20 mins or so.

About the house:
We have a good-sized (unfurnished!) double room available to rent on the ground floor, backing onto the garden. It’s a really spacious house with plenty of shared space, including a separate kitchen and living room, conservatory, garden, and office.

Perks: tumble dryer, dishwasher, full-sized fridge freezer, two toilets (no bathroom queue!).

Heads up: the house is at the top of a steep hill, and the steps leading up to it are quite uneven, which might be tricky for anyone with mobility issues. But of course, everyone is welcome to apply.

About us:
Amirat - 25, full time advertising creative.
I work 9-6 and will be in the office most days, so when I’m home I like to make the most of it. You’ll usually find me in the living room watching a movie, eating, or just hanging out with the housemates. I’m big on movies, music, and spending time with friends - basically anything that’s good vibes. I’m always up for a chat or just hanging out and doing nothing together, so hopefully you’re the same!

I’m just finishing a master’s in English lit and I’m working in a café in Peckham until I find a Big Girl Job. I love books, movies, music, and cooking nice food for me and my pals. On my days off, I like going out for a nice walk or gallery trip as much as I like lying on the sofa doing sweet FA. Being able to come home to a nice clean cozy house is important to me, so looking for someone who is also on those vibes 🫶🏼

About you:
We’re looking for fellow femmes and queer folks who have their own thing going on and an active social life, but who also value being friends with the people they live with.

The house is big on movies, dinners, and doing things together, and we’d love someone who wants to join in. For us, the best part of living together is that it feels like a home, not just a place where people pass each other in the hallway.

At the same time, we really value keeping the house nice. Everyone cleans up after themselves and we’ll occasionally help each other out too. So we’d love someone who’s respectful of the shared space, considerate of housemates, and happy to pitch in so the house stays a place we all enjoy.

We do have the occasional party (we’re young and lit, sorry), so we’d love someone who can add to those vibes.
