5-10 minutes walk away
Description
Hello,
The room is available now.
I’m looking for a female lodger of any age . I’ve had lodgers for many years so am quite chilled about it. I keep the house clean and nice. Just want someone who will be happy living here.
The house is a 1500sq ft 4 bedroomed Victorian house in a quiet street, 5-10 mins walk to Honor Oak Park station.
Transport links are brilliant - 35 mins to Victoria(passing through Clapham Junction).. 10 mins to London Bridge. 11 mins on London Overground to Jubilee line that leaves every 8 mins so 25/40 mins to anywhere in zone 1 or 2.
Also Crofton Park station is 10mins walk away(or ashort bus ride) with trains to North of London and stops inbetween including every 15 mins, a train to St Pancras stopping at Peckham, Denmark Hill, Elephant and Castle, Blackfriars and Farringdon(arrives in 25mins).
A previous lodger could get to her college in Elephant and Castle in 25 minutes door to door.
Loads of buses nearby and short walk to Honor Oak Park High St with Sainsbury's, coffee shops, deli etc.
Honor Oak Park feels safe, is green, quiet, friendly and a bit villagey. Forest Hill and Lordship Lane/East Dulwich liveliness/independent shops only a short bus ride away.
Monthly bills for Elec and Gas are about £20 each in Summer to £70 in Winter( depending on usage).
Broadband, council tax and water rates are included in the rent. House has washing machine and dryer. There is a 33' long through lounge, a dining room and separate kitchen. Original stripped floorboards, doors and lots of mid century furniture.
The bedroom I'm letting is 12’ x 13’ , with high ceilings a big window with blackout blind, and floor to ceiling storage next to the mantlepiece with hanging space and the room also has a freestanding wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a habitat double bed.
Its bright, newly painted and with white painted floorboards and a window facing the back and the garden so its quiet.
There's a pretty, south facing garden that has sun all day where I grow loads of flowers, veg and herbs.
Free parking on the road.
You would be living with an artist(56 yr old) and a 22 yr old who works as a dresser in theatres. Both easy going.
The house is Council Tax Band ‘D’ but the council tax is paid within the rent- you don't pay it.
Email or phone with any questions.
