Description

Hi there,

Thanks for stopping by!

Sadly our housemate is moving out at the beginning of December to pursue new life adventures and therefore it's time to find an amazing new housemate who is looking for a home to share with us. Please keep on reading if you think that could be you!

ABOUT YOU

We would love to find someone who can be more like a friend than a random housemate who never comes out of their bedroom. Of course we all need to have our own personal space and we completely respect that and have our own social lives but we do value being social and spending time together when we can, for example we like to have the occasional flat night in/out every now and then. Not to mention our trips to our local pub from time to time for a good catch up and a laugh!

We would also appreciate having someone who cleans after themselves, are respectful and tidy – not necessarily OCD, but if dirty dishes for days are not an issue to you then no need to get in touch please.

This flat feels like home for us and I would love you to feel the same way about it :) That also means we would preferably like to find someone who is not thinking of moving out in the short term.

So drop me a message if the above sounds like you!

ABOUT YOUR HOUSEMATES

We are easy-going girls who are on the hunt for a new amiga to share the flat with! Since we moved in this has always been a super friendly and lovely flat so we would love to keep those good vibes going with our new flat mate.

A little about Rebecca (current tenant): I'm Rebecca, 27 year old professional and I've currently been in the flat for three years. I work in product development for a home accessories supplier and normally WFH on a Friday. I'm from Nottingham and thought I would stay in London for one month but over five years later and I'm still here! When I'm not at work, I play tennis (lots!!), run (not such a lot!), go out for drinks with friends and when I feel less energetic/sociable I stay at home and draw:)

A little about Ellie (current tenant):
I'm Ellie, 25 year old professional and I've lived in the flat for over 2 years. I love this flat and it has quickly become home for me thanks to my amazing flatmates and the great area we live in! I work in the fashion industry and usually work in the office most days. In my free time I like doing yoga, catching up with friends and going to see live music - me and Rebecca often go to see bands together!
I like going to the pub for casual drinks and occasionally going out dancing in places like the blues kitchen as drum and bass nights are not for me haha!

ABOUT THE ROOM

The room is a great sized double room, completely furnished with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and desk, you won’t really need anything else. The bed frame also allows for a really good amount of extra storage underneath the bed if you need it. There are also some fantastic bookshelves and an amazing skylight which makes the room really bright and sunny during the day and very cosy at night - if you’re lucky you can even see the stars when lying on the bed! The skylight does have a built in blind, you just can't see it when it's not down.

As for the rest of the flat, this is a lovely, bright top floor flat with all kitchen/cleaning appliances you would expect included. Please note there's no living room, however this has always been a sociable house (not in a party animal way though!) and we're always more than happy to hang out together in the other two bedrooms which have sofas or get creative with any other options that come to mind. An example of the latter would be a tiny rooftop space/sun trap we've been using throughout the summers to get a lovely tan and some fresh air.

ABOUT THE AREA

If you’re a North Londoner, you already know the location is one of the perks of this house.

Hornsey train station (zone 3) is literally less than 5 minutes away and trains run frequently until late night. You can easily get to central London in 20 min approximately, via Finsbury Park or Highbury & Islington just to name a few. Besides, Turnpike Lane (Piccadilly line) is a 12 min walk / 5 min bus ride if you´re feeling lazy and there are plenty of bus connections too.

Aside of transport links, Hornsey is a really lovely area to live in! Everything you need is walking distance from the house - cafes, restaurants, independent shops, supermarkets (huge Sainsbury's 5 min away!), cinemas, gyms... all is in the area!

Crouch End is also minutes away from us. In case you haven’t heard it, Timeout says Crouch End nearly has it all – and TimeOut always knows best! As well as Secret London recently voting Crouch End the best place to live in London! On top of this, we're right next to the lovely Alexandra Palace and Muswell Hill for the most gorgeous views of London, Wood Green for shopping and cheap cinema tickets, etc.

ABOUT THE BORING STUFF

Rent is £550 and paid monthly. Bills are not included and might change based on consumption, but just so you have an idea they come roughly around £100.

Move in date would ideally be from 2nd December. Deposit is one month rent and we normally liaise with the landlord directly, but there is a referencing process with an agency (they only get involved at the contracting stage).

Finally, the new contract would be a year long but with a breaking clause runs after 6 months. We would however like to find someone who is planning to stay long term ideally!

_

Hopefully that sums it up pretty much! Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions and do drop us a message with a bit about yourself if you like what you've read.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
