Description
Hello there,
We're looking for someone to take on of the rooms in our house for a period of 1 month.
As Pete is away over the whole of December.
We love this place and feel lucky to have somewhere affordable in such a nice area. It's cheap in part because it's an old Victorian that hasn't been 'done up', but it all works - the shower is amazing, and the washing machine, fridge / freezer / boiler, and bathroom are all new, and the internet is strong and reliable.
The communal areas are a galley kitchen, a dining room, a bright living room and a garden,– if you like gardening that would be great as ours is an ongoing project!
The room is a large double at the front of the house on first floor. There is plenty of space if you need it. Double bed, clothes hanging, storage etc all available.
The house has an excellent vibe, friendly, communal and respectful. We are all quite busy so the house can be quiet during the week, but make time to hangout when we can: we like to cook, go for a dance, cycle, walks etc.
We are:
Pete - the longest surviving member, he's a football coach and cooks
curry by the gallon on the rare occasions that he's not working.
Claire – In the last months of PhD on agroecology in the wine industry, into acroyoga, cycling and swimming – and a dance.
Barbara - from France, a lecturer at uni who also paints, loves cooking, reading and hanging out at the cinema cafe nearby
Tomasso - an Italian with flowing locks who loves cooking and yoga and works in an art gallery.
Mads - another Italian who is into archery and making music. Working on trains! Choo choo
Bills included in the reduced rent. Cheaper than what we'd usually pay for the room.
The area is well connected on the train, Hornsey High Street (Big Sainsbury's) is 5 mins away, Crouch End 7 mins, Hornsey Station is 8 mins, Turnpike Lane 12 mins, Finsbury Park is a 10 min cycle and you're a stone's throw from several parks.
We could accept a well-trained friendly cat, but no dogs sorry.
Tell us a bit about yourself, what you are looking for, what works for you etc
Viewings available between Mon 26th-Thu 29th Dec. Can show you round via WhatsApp call if easier.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Barbara, Tommaso, Pete and Claire xx
