Double Room in friendly home (Hornsey/Wood Green)

We have a furnished double bedroom available from 25th May 2024. It's a decent sized room with a built in wardrobe, chest of drawers, a double bed and a small desk (different from the desk in the photo).

The rent is £500 pcm plus bills, which are roughly £100 per month.

The house is a mid-terrace, with a garden, in a quiet leafy street between Turnpike Lane and Hornsey stations. It has a well equipped kitchen (washing machine, microwave, two fridges and a freezer), a dining room, a spare room used for storage and drying clothes, and a large garden with a table and chairs.

THE PEOPLE
You'd be living with Kristen (Australian, 38), Patrick (Scottish, 36), and Hanna (Finnish, 42).

A random selection of our interests include baking, cooking, singing, sewing, going to the gym, comedy and cheese.

While we all lead fairly busy lives, we enjoy chatting in the kitchen when we're in and see this more like a home than just a place to crash. We're looking for someone who will be equally invested in the space and isn't scared off by a weekly cleaning rota. It's a relaxed house and we keep it that way with open communication.

We are looking for someone for a minimum of 6 months, ideally longer. The room is available from 1st May. We need someone to move in quite quickly - the person who was supposed to move in has had to cancel at the last minute due to a change in his circumstances.

THE AREA
Wood Green High Street is just around the corner, which has loads of supermarkets, clothes shops and a market which sells cheap fruit & veg. There's also a 24 hour Middle Eastern supermarket about 5 mins away.
Alexandra Palace and Parkland Walk are just up the road, so it's a great place to live if you like to get outdoors. Green Lanes, which has loads of nice cafes, bars and restaurants, is about a 15 min walk. Crouch End is a 20 min walk and is also a nice area to grab a coffee.

GETTING AROUND
The house is a 10 min walk to Turnpike Lane (Piccadilly line) and to Hornsey Station (direct connection to Moorgate and Old Street). There's also direct night buses from Dalston, Camden, Islington, so it's generally quite easy to get home late.
