Description

We are three working women living in Hoxton - five mins walk from the overground, ten mins walk to Old Street station and with plenty of buses on our doorstep. We have one small double room to rent in our lovely, bright flat, and we're looking for a like-minded, friendly person to move in.

We are hoping to find someone who has a similar lifestyle to us and works full-time during the day, relaxes in evenings & at weekends and enjoys exploring all East London has to offer. We like to have fun but generally take it pretty easy, and it's important to us that whoever moves in becomes a friend rather than someone we never see or speak to. Most of us have lived in the flat for a few years and we have a great relationship with our landlord.

The room is a small double with a wardrobe and there's space for you to add your own chest of drawers or bookshelf. There's a big window which means it gets a lot of light. The flat is over two floors, with all bedrooms upstairs & has a nice sit-in kitchen, massive living room with two sofas and a piano – and yes, we do have that all-important tumble dryer.

Since the pandemic, we've adapted the house for those of us who have to work from home. As this is one of the two small doubles in the flat, if you need it there would be a deskspace available in our big living room (just let us know and we'll put the desk up for you).

Rent is £640 per month which is incredible for the area and for Zone 1, bills around £140 and there is an £700 deposit. Our contract runs until 14 June 2026, so the rent price is secure until then.

The room is available from 3rd of September and sadly there's no wiggle room to move in any sooner than that. You will be taking over the contract from one of the current tenants.

About the neighbourhood: Shoreditch is a short walk away, as is Shoreditch Park and the canal which takes you all the way to Broadway Market. Lots of places to walk, not far from the Barbican, generally very safe. Super quick to get into central on bus or tube. We all love living here!

LONG STORY SHORT:
This flat will suit you if: you are interested in film, literature, and the arts. You work hard but like to chill out and enjoy bad (good) TV. And want a safe space that you can call home and make friends for life.

If you like the sound of all this, please drop us a note telling us a bit about yourself. We're hoping to arrange viewings in the coming weeks.
