Description

This is a massive room, about 5m by 3m, and has enough space for a yoga matt to be rolled out on the floor or whatever else takes your fancy. The room is the only bedroom on that floor, so it's very private and well protected from noise etc. The room gets a good amount of natural light, and has its own private patio space with a bistro table and chairs, as well as an array of plants - it's a bit of a sun trap, so it's a perfect spot for enjoying a weekend breakfast! The room has a king-size Warren Evans bed with a really comfy mattress, a large wardrobe, a chest of drawers, separate jacket hanging space, mirror and chair. There are also a couple of hooks provided to hang up pictures so you can really make it your own.

The house itself is a two storey three-bedroom maisonette (ground and lower ground) located in the heart of Hoxton, just a short stroll away from the Colombia Road Flower Market and Brick Lane and right by Hoxton station (two stops away from the Elizabeth line, so fantastic connections across London and to airports). The location is amazing as it's right in the middle of the buzzing energy of East London, but on a super quiet private road, so there is basically no traffic noise - we sleep with our windows open in summer!

Features:

1. Expansive Bedroom: As described above. Make it your own and take advantage of the sunny patio!

2. Shared Areas: Spacious open plan living room/kitchen with floor to ceiling windows and a large adjoining patio with a barbeque, table and lots of plants. There is a large sofa area with a television and a separate dining table, which is great for Sunday roasts. The kitchen is fully equipped with lots of cupboard space and all the appliances you could need (including a dishwasher).

3. Two toilets: The flat includes a well-maintained upstairs bathroom with a full size bath with overhead shower and a toilet, as well as a separate toilet room downstairs. We have never had a queue for the bathroom so it's a perfect set up!

4. Additional outside space: Large shared roof terrace (with lift access) with table and chairs for eating, amazing for enjoying the sun or just getting a bit of fresh air overlooking the street. Private secure bike storage, entry only with key fob right outside our living room door.

5. Central Hoxton Location: We have the perfect combination of being on a very quiet road in the middle of everything. We are a stone's throw from Colombia Road Flower Market, famous for its Sunday flower market, which is full of independent cafes and shops. We're also surrounded by an eclectic mix of galleries, bars, restaurants, and pop ups that make this area impossible not to love.

6. Excellent Transport Links: Hoxton Overground Station is a two minute stroll away and we have multiple bus routes nearby, so commuting to and from the area is a breeze. Liverpool Street station is a 15 minute walk.

7. Amenities: We have an abundance of amenities on our doorstep, including supermarkets, organic shops, fitness centres, parks, and a diverse selection of local cafes and eateries. We are spoiled for choice when it comes to entertainment and leisure activities, and there are always new things happening around the area. We're close to so many things and within easy walking of Brick Lane (world famous bagels!), Victoria Park, London Fields lido, Spitalfields market and the Barbican.

About us. We’re a couple. Arun 40, works for the NHS (mostly working from home at the moment) helping translate research and innovation into clinical practice. He also has a role with a small charity. I'm Hanna, 34 working in non-profit. Most of our time outside of work is spent with friends either in London or scattered across the UK. Cycling, DIY projects & travelling keep us busy otherwise. Between us, we’ve lived in London for about 20 years now but we're always keen to get out and explore more of the city! Our housemate Cameron is new to London from the States so also enjoys a lot of exploring. We’re all pretty laid back and up for a chat, dinner, movie night or the occasional visit to one of the many pubs or bars scattered around.

The flat would ideally suit a professional or a mature student. Someone house trained and friendly, but who also has their own social thing going! Finally, as much as we would love to have a pet in the house, our lease won't allow it so please don't ask if you can bring your well behaved dog.
