Description
Double bedroom in a fully furnished 3-bedroom flat in Hoxton (4 mins walking from Hoxton St., 15 mins from Old Street). Bathroom shared between 2 people as master bedroom is ensuite. Rent £1100 p/m (bills an additional £100-200 p/m).
Move in date: ideally asap but can be flexible.
About the flat and area: newly renovated and converted historical building, on first floor with lift access (wheelchair accessible). Flat is above a lovely coffee shop and close to Hackney City Farm, Columbia Flower Market, and plenty of green space. Flat benefits from a modern kitchen with new fittings and equipment. Large living room with TV and couches. Fully electric / no gas, including electric heaters. Loads of plants all over the flat.
About us: two young professionals working in the City. You will usually find Aadishi reading a book on the couch, forcing her friends to go to art galleries with her, or cooking some new crazy pasta recipe. Aadishi is an avid traveller, yapper, badminton player, coffee drinker and foodie.
Satya is an engineer and overall geek who goes to the gym, plays video games, espouses working from home, enjoys making and finishing cocktails, will make acronyms and silly puns out of anything, and using the airfryer.
Who are we looking for: a kind, clean and conscientious person with shared interests and outlook. We are strong believers in the saying "it takes a village" and with our friends, have a very strong support system and community. Ideally, we are not looking for a room warmer, but hopefully someone we can include in our community and whose community we would be happy to be a part of. We often cook meals together / for each other, host dinner parties for and with our friends, organise movie or board game or paint and sip nights, go to the theatre together and more. You will equally catch Aadishi wordlessly solving her 13000 piece puzzle with her earphones in or Satya playing PlayStation by himself.
Misc: Aadishi is vegan. No big objections to cooking meat as long as done hygienically and without smelling up the house. We are conscientious of the same as we sometimes cook Indian food with fragrant spices. Happy to have a discussion about it! Queer / queer-friendly house.
