6 month sublet in our communal home 🏡 from Dec

Searching for a new friend to sublet my room and join our intentional, communal home for 5 months (18 Dec to 1 June) with possibility to extend ☺️

Hello potential new friend!

We are Ashleigh, Tom and Yasmin and we are looking for someone to join our intentional, communal home that is more than just people who happen to split the rent.

Ash will be taking a career break (Japan here she comes) and is subletting her room over the period.

When we say ‘intentional' and 'communal’ we mean a household and housemates that value and support one another, that cook together and share meals (at least once a week), that make time to hang out with one another (from kitchen dance parties to nude life drawing), that care about our home and work to make it beautiful, encourage healthy vulnerability, and that host friends at our place for whatever reason (summer solstice, Twilight movie marathon, house parties) Essentially, people that have the intention to make something great, commit to and work towards it.

A bit about us:
We found each other first to start an intentional community and then went out to find a flat. We have created this flat together and want to invite someone else in wants to continue to co create with us. Even if it’s just for a short time ☺️

A bit about Tom:
🧌 I love trying new things such as Ceilidh dancing, making sushi, and Dungeons & Dragons
✏️ I work in education (primarily primary)
🎭 I love art and theatre and all things creative
🏳️‍🌈 I am a queer 28 year old (he/him)

A bit about Yas:
🦄 I am an extrovert who likes to dance badly! I’m still fairly new to London so I’m spending time meeting new people and building connections
🧚🏼I work in the charity sector
🌳 I enjoy Yoga and exploring
✨ 26 year old (she/her)
🍻 I love to eat and drink and be merry

The practicalities:
- 3 bedroom apartment with one full bathroom (shower, bath toilet) and a guest toilet.
- located very close to Columbia Road Flower Markets, London fields and just a 7 min walk to Hoxton Overground station and 15 mins to Old St underground.
- Rent is £1050 and bills are ~£96 per month (electricity, water, internet, gas)
- timeline: Ash is leaving on 17 Dec and is likely to return around 1 June. We are looking for someone to join as soon as possible for the whole period. Though happy for you to only join in Jan or something as we understand that timing is a little awkward over the festive period.
- we are also open to a short 1 month sublet from Dec to Jan
- accessibility information: the flat is up two flights of stairs. The toilet, kitchen and living room are all on the first level when you come in, the bedrooms and second full bathroom are up two more flights of stairs.
- the flat is managed by an agency and we are renting from them. So far the agency has been really good at responding to issues and sending in plumbers pronto to unblock drains or checking that fire alarms are up to scratch etc.
