Description
I've decided to leave my tenancy as I'm moving in with friends, so I am looking for a working professional to take on my tenancy (10.5 months). I've included the agent's pictures of the room to show the potential of the space, and included my own to show it currently - please do ignore the mess, I am in the process of packing to move! The bathroom/kitchen/dining room pictures are also my own.
A one-bed, first-floor private room in a 3-bed flat, Isle of Dogs. Rent is 1,135pcm, and Gas and Electric bills are £50 every three months (tenants take it in turns to top-up the prepay smart meters - Council Tax, Internet, TV Licence and Water included in rent price).
The block is in a gated area. There is a lovely view of Morden Wharf from the room's Juliet balcony, and a lovely riverside walkway perfect for a morning walk/run, and is a 10 minute walk from the Island Gardens DLR station, with bus stops a couple minutes walk away (opposite the road the flat is on).
You'd be sharing with 2 males, who are both friendly working professionals who like to keep to themselves. The tenancy agreement is individual, so is not linked with the others. You'd be sharing a bathroom with one of the other tenants (the third bedroom is an ensuite). The kitchen has plenty of shared plates/cutlery/cups and is fully equipped with a microwave/kettle/dishwasher and everything you will need, but there is also space if you are bringing kitchen items.
The bedroom is spacious, with a brand new bed (delivered 31st Aug), a desk, wardrobe, shelf, two sets of drawers, 2 bedside table drawer units, a small glass coffee table, a sofa & armchair. The room has a lock on the main door, and there are two different sets of lights to use. The room has a Juliet balcony, which is lovely to have open during the day and offers a lovely view of the wharf and river to the left.
The boiler is in a cupboard in the bedroom, but is totally run by the timer and thermostat - the most you might have to do is adjust the timer slightly during season changes. There are also a couple shelves in the cupboard that could be used if desired.
