Description
I'm looking for a flatmate in a 2 bedroom flat in a quiet location near Mudchute DLR Station (Zone 2).
The flat is furnished and has two double bedrooms, a large living room that gets plenty of sunshine, one bathroom and a kitchen. It's on a 3rd floor (out of 4) and there’s a lift too. The way the top floor is built means no one lives above.
If you need to set up a working environment there's plenty of space for that, whether in the bedroom or in the spacious living room which isn't used during working hours to put a desk and / or more storage.
There is Mudchute DLR station and a couple of bus stops offering a quick ride to Canary Wharf (Jubilee and Elizabeth Line) or Greenwich (Thameslink, Southeastern) for convenient connection links.
There's Mudchute Park and Farm nearby, picturesque Millwall Docks with all the wild birds, Thames is also within a short walk and if you're willing to walk a bit more you can cross the river using Greenwich Foot Tunnel and go straight to Greenwich Park which I often do.
About me:
I love hiking, music events (particularly electronic), meditation, everything about consciousness, cooking, reading, films.
I moved to London 10 years ago and I've enjoyed the experience with all its blessings and curses.
I'm friendly, easy going and not particularly loud at home. Despite occasionally playing instruments I usually do it quietly (headphones) even when I'm on my own.
Professionally I'm a software engineer though I'm considering a career change since I'm enjoying working with humans more than working with machines.
I'd like to share the flat with a kind, friendly and open minded person.
And to be clear: I'm a tenant here, not a landlord.
The property is owned and managed by a private individual (not an agency) living in another part of London and respectful of tenants privacy. I haven't had any issues with him throughout 3 years of living in this flat.
The bills:
About £110 per person a month on average.
We need to split the electricity bill, the council tax and broadband between us. Electricity cost depends entirely on our usage but the flat is warm and doesn't require much heating in the winter. It’s roughly £50 /month for me alone at the moment of which most is used by boiler.
The council tax is around £140/month so around £70 each.
Broadband is £28/month = £14 each
Water is included in the rent.
This is a non-smoking flat, also sadly no pets are allowed.
