Description

Double room available in a lovely 2-bedroom garden flat (N7 7BE) a short walk to/from Holloway Road (8mins, Piccadilly Line), Highbury & Islington (12mins, Victoria and Overground lines) and Drayton Park (4mins, Great Northern trains to Moorgate) stations.

The room is available on the 9th November and has dual aspect windows into the rear garden, a bed frame, wardrobe and drawers/vanity (the open wardrobe will be removed). The flat has a shared living room, a shared bathroom, and a separate galley kitchen from which one can step into the back garden with patio space and BBQ. The flat is on a quiet residential street, easy to heat, and has a dishwasher and washing machine (laundry dries on the line or covered clothes horse in the back-garden). There is also a bike stand in the front garden to lock up a bike.

The flat is incredibly well located with Highbury Fields nearby for walks/runs and, on sunny days, picnics. The flat is served with local shops, pubs, etc but is also within easy walking distance of the big Waitrose and other shops and restaurants on Holloway Road, and the cafes/restaurants and night life of Upper Street.

The room is £1200pcm and bills are split (currently pcm per person are: council tax Band D £80.02; Octopus gas/electricity £58.82; water £15; broadband £13.68; fortnightly cleaner is £55 per visit plus a few quid every so often for TP/Cleaning supplies; no live tv/bbc iplayer so no tv licence fee).

I enjoy cooking for myself or friends with a glass of wine, action films, board games, gigs and dance parties. For vacations, I like to travel, hike, and go to music festivals.
About you: professional aged between 26 and 47 years, LGBTQ+ friendly, with similar interests/vibes and who’d keep the communal areas as work-free spaces.

I work in law so there will be times when we are ships in the night, but as a long term tenant, I would like to find a housemate who fits in with the current vibe of the flat as a sociable, friendly and respectful space, i. e. where we feel comfortable, and enjoy, sharing the communal areas together, and with the potential to become friends.

To that end, please include in your message the information you’d like to share about yourself as well as:
1. what is important to you in respect of flat-sharing and/or to find in a flatmate?
2. what is your job, work pattern and schedule e. g. work 9am-6pm in office with x days per week WFH?
3. what do you watch, if anything, on TV at home?
4. when was your last great Friday or Saturday night and what did you do?

Currently plan to hold viewings on Thursday 10th October in the evening, and Saturday 12 October between 11am and 2pm, so please indicate if one of these days suits, but if not, let me know when else might suit!
