Hi everyone,
I'm Chris, a 31 year old living in Holloway. My friend Josh and I bought this house during Covid and have been renovating it ever since. He's since moved abroad and I'm looking to rent the second bedroom.
I'll be holding viewings over weekends.
About the house:
The house is mostly finished - I'll still have small odd jobs to do around the place. Otherwise the kitchen and bathrooms are new, bedrooms are renovated and the terrace is decked.
There isn't a desk in the bedroom but it could fit a small one. Or there is a standing desk in my room that you can use - I’m in the office 5 days a week.
And I still need to fill the house with art and plants!
I'm looking for someone who's comfortable with a 3 month rolling contract. We may have a loft conversion done and I that could lead to disruption - I'd want to give myself and any tenant the chance to reconsider before any work started.
The flat is a 10 minute walk from Finsbury Park station and the same from Holloway road station. Very easy to get around London. There's a Morrisons, Lidl and Waitrose within 5 minutes. There are council bike lockers on the street.
The rent is £850 + £200 bills = £1050 total per month. The bills include Council Tax Band E (£88 pp pm) plus fast Broadband, water, electricity, gas and a fortnightly cleaner. This should reduce in January with cheaper energy and broadband contacts starting.
About me:
I'm an easy going, respectful person who can get along with most people. I have my own life and would expect the same of any flatmate. My job keeps me busy in the office during the week with early starts and late finishes. At weekends I'm looking to reclaim my social life after a few too many weekends of sanding and painting. I'm into all types of music, photography and travelling whenever I can. LGBTQ friendly.
I'm looking forward to starting to use the house for small social gatherings (e. g. dinner with a few friends) and you are very welcome to do the same. But I ask that any partying doesn't come back to the house.

I am open to shorter term rent agreements, or weekday only tenants. Couples welcome at £1100 plus bills and for short term only.
