Double room Newington Green - stunning location!

*** IMPORTANT : This room comes with a cat called Onyx, who you will be fostering and living with in the space while his owner is away (1 year) - more on this below ***

We are sub letting a lovely double room in Newington Green for 1 year while our housemate goes travelling. Possibility of extending but this is dependent on travel plans of the housemate that is away.

About the room: The room is lit extremely well by 2 large street view windows. It is furnished with a double bed, large 3 door wardrobe, small couch, coffee table, a 3 door cabinet and large 2 door book cabinet. It also comes with a desk and office chair. There's a bedside table in the room and the bed has 2 drawers underneath it for storage.

The flat is in the heart of Newington Green, close to Dalston and Stoke Newington. With ace transport links right on our doorstep :)

- The bus stop is a 30 sec walk away.
- Canonbury Overground, a 5-7 min walk.
- Highbury & Islington Underground, a 15-minute walk away.

We share a bathroom (with a bath!), kitchen, and a sun trap terrace where we sometimes gather for a drink, sunbathe, or bit of alfresco dining.

You'll be sharing with two other girls, who both work full time, plus our wonderful indoor cat, Onyx, who’s very chatty and curious. :)

About the kitty, Onyx: The lovely Onyx is about 3 years old and his cat mum is away traveling. This gorgeous room is his home and he will sleep, eat and live his best life in there with you. He wanders the house of course but this room is his base. All of his costs (food, litter, toys etc) will be covered by his owner. She will be in regular contact for check ins and is always available for any questions or needs that might arise. His owner appreciates pics and videos of him with the option of video calls - although this would be an 'every now and then' request, with plenty of notice and mutual schedule co-ordination. He is an indoor cat but sometimes likes to visit the terrace to birdwatch.
Ideally, we're looking for someone who has experience with cats or has owned a cat / dog before. The reason for this is that you will be Onyx's foster mum for your time in the room and responsible for his day to day care and attention. Once he warms up to you, he is the ultimate lap cat. He's very loving and social, adores being chatted to and needs to be played with regularly to make sure he's happy and stimulated. The rent has been intentionally lowered by his owner, as the room comes with the responsibility of caring for him. He's a big part of the home and we want someone who has the capacity to give him time and consideration - a real animal lover :)

About you: We're looking for someone chilled and respectful to snap up the room! We all like to go out/bring pals over from time to time, but this is definitely a home instead of a party house! We value a clean, tidy, and peaceful environment and are a friendly house. We like to have catch-ups in the kitchen or on the terrace and are keen on someone willing to get involved with anything house-related when needed - but we respect each other's space and schedules, as we are a professional household.

Ultimately, we like a homely and respectful environment. :)

Working professionals preferred.

The rent is £647 per month with NO DEPOSIT required, so is crazy cheap given the location!! Bills between £100-£150 mark>depending on the season.
