Description
One lovely small double room available in a queer POC three-bedroom house in Kennington with wild garden.
Move in: Oct 1
Rent: £667 pcm for the small room
Bills: currently around £140 pcm per person
Deposit: £667
Room: The room is small so doesn't have a desk but is furnished and comes with a wardrobe and chest of drawers and bed and there is plenty of storage in the house. It would suit someone who doesn't work from home but you could use the living room to work if needed.
This is a cosy house, it isn't a party house, we are looking for someone in their late 20s-30s/40s who is looking for a calm space and willing to make a house a home. We have our own lives and have friends over but we get along well and would like to live with someone who will contribute to the homely vibes we have created, in addition to being clean and courteous and helping look after our lovely wild garden.
Housemates: You would be living with myself and Elizabeth and we've lived together for 3 years in the house and get on really well and now friends.
I'm a queer woman (30) who loves gardening, reading, cycling and any kind of outdoors adventure, as well as bopping about Soho on a Friday night. Elizabeth (27) is a Black woman who works in rhe creative industry who loves films, plays and is currently learning pole.
Viewings: We are having viewings on Monday 12th Aug 6-8pm and Saturday 17th Aug 10am-1pm. If you're interested please drop me a message with a little bit about yourself and we can arrange a viewing. If we all think it's a good fit, we will probably invite you over for drinks/ to meet again to see if we think it will be a good fit.
Location: The house is 2 mins from Kennington Tube, on a quiet pedestrian street and the neighbours are friendly. We are 5 mins from Kennington park and easy walking distance from a range of shops, including Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrisons and also plenty of good pubs and coffee shops.
Accessibility: there is one step into the front door. The kitchen and living room and garden are on this floor. The bedroom is upstairs two flights of stairs which is 13 stairs. The bathroom is on the same floor as the bedroom. There is no lift and no intercom.
References: The landlord will run a reference check from previous landlord/accomodation before you sign the lease. Housing benefits aren't accepted.
Sorry, no couples, no kids. Open to pets like cats but not dogs.
