Description

Unfortunately, our friend Sam is leaving our lovely flat to move in with her boyfriend so we’re looking for a new housemate to join our friendly houseshare.

Who we are

Culann (33). I’ve lived in the house for 4 years now. I work for a health charity and play tag rugby, sing in a choir and enjoy going to the cinema as often as I can.
Louise (32). Also works for a health charity (not mandatory to live here though!) loves hiking and adventuring although is currently trying her best to rehab a tendon injury so can also be found with a beer in the pub, and is sometimes known to chuck some paint at some paper.

Who we’re looking for

Someone to join us and match the energy of the house. We’ve always been a house of friends. Louise moved in from Spareroom 2 years ago and we’ve all become close pals so we want our next housemate to be the same. Like anyone in London, we’re busy a lot of the time but when everyone’s home, we cook for each other and spend the evening together in the living room. Most of the food and other grocery bits are bought communally and we want to make sure that vibe carries on.

Beyond that, you don’t have to be veggie but we don’t have meat in the house and obviously you’ll want to keep the space very clean and tidy.

The flat

Your room will have plenty of space and can come furnished or unfurnished if you have your own bed (Sam has her own and will be bringing it with her but the letting agents can provide a new one). The living room is nice and light and spacious and the kitchen is well stocked and has lots of counter space as well as a great stove and a washer/dryer. We also have two bathrooms so there’s almost never a clamber for a shower in the morning!

Everything is still in good working order and if/when anything does break, our letting agents are very quick to get it sorted.

The location

A more or less equidistant 15 minute walk from Kennington and Elephant and Castle tubes, just off Walworth Road and about 20 minutes down the road from Camberwell. Burgess Park is also 5 minutes away and we have plenty of other small pockets of nice green space around us.

The street itself is quiet with no through road access to the busier Walworth Road and we have all the conveniences you’d ever need on that main road. Brixton, Peckham and Central London are all very easy to get to so it’s also ideally located for getting the best out of London.

The details

The rent is £831 per person with bills on top of that. Which currently come to around £120 per month for council tax/wifi/energy/water/TV licence.

The ideal move in date will be the 5th October but there can be some flexibility on that. If you’re interested, drop us a message and let us know a bit about yourself and we can arrange a time for you to come and view the flat any time from the 9th September.
