Hello! A double room will be available from Dec 1st in our great house in Kennington (SE17) as I am moving in with my boyfriend. You’d be replacing me on the lease, which runs until May 2026 - it’s been running for 1 year periods since around 2018, so it’s possible it’ll be renewed again.

About the house: It’s a 3 bedroom house with living room and a small garden - ideal to enjoy the sun when it comes out. It has a shed big enough to keep 3 bikes and a back gate.

Location wise - it’s on a quiet street 3 minutes away from Kennington Station (or 10 minute walk to Elephant & Castle), with easy access to Kennington Park Road and Walworth Road (which are both bus routes). Waterloo station is about 30 mins walk away or a 10 minute tube ride. Kennington Park is just around the corner.

The room: The room has a double bed and a dresser, and shares a shower room and a loo with the third bedroom, with a big built in wardrobe in the hallway for more storage.

About your housemates:
Patricia: I’m 29 and work in King X most of the time, but will work from home probably once a week. I love cooking (cooking with/for people is a bonus), reading, swimming, pretending I can run, meeting friends for drinks, etc. I love keeping busy and will often be out and about but equally enjoy a relaxing evening in chatting over a shared meal and/or the best reality shows around.

Katie: I’m 27, originally from Yorkshire and I work in sales for a beauty company. I work in soho and usually go into the office 3 days a week. Loves watching football, meeting my friends in London etc

Both Katie and Patricia work from their bedrooms a few times a week, so whoever takes the room would be able to work from the living room during the day - but keep the living room usable for everyone in the evenings/weekends.

There is plenty of storage around the house, including a loft (currently housing a Christmas tree) and a cupboard under the stairs.

Ideally we’re looking for considerate people who’ll treat the house as a home and not just a place to crash. We try to keep the shared spaces tidy and clean up after ourselves, and would appreciate living with someone who is willing to do the same.
