hiya! I’m looking for someone to fill a big, bright double bedroom in our gorgeous house in Kennington, just a 5-minute walk from Kennington Station (Northern Line, zone 1).

(Available from November 30th. Rent is £1,150 excluding bills, deposit is £736. council tax is band E in the borough of Southwark. fortnightly cleaner: roughly £15 a month each. minimum tenancy 12 months.)

THE ROOM/HOUSE 🏡
this is a bright double room with a huge wall of built-in wardrobes and shelves - perfect if you’re looking for loads of storage. it overlooks a quiet street and gets lovely light throughout the day. there’s also potential space for a small desk depending on how you choose to set it up.

the house itself is a lovely 3-bed with a big, comfy living room and a HUGE garden - which is where my cat Baby (undisputed queen of the house) spends most of her time. there’s also a separate kitchen with a dining area, plus two bathrooms: one upstairs with a bath/shower, and a separate loo downstairs.

THE AREA📍

i’ve lived in Kennington for the past 5 years and absolutely love it – it’s quaint and residential but still incredibly central. The tube is just five minutes from the house, and you can walk to Waterloo or London Bridge in under 30 minutes. you’ll also find plenty of supermarkets, cornershops, gyms, pubs, cafés and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Peckham, Brixton and Vauxhall are also a short bus ride away and great for a night out !!

me: 27 and a journalist! love cinema, music, art and comedy – always up for a gig or a night out, but just as happy staying in with a film and a chat. i’m sociable and want to live in a warm, friendly flat, but also really value my alone time and am respectful of people's boundaries. also v clean and tidy (especially with a cat around!) – really important to me that the house stays clean, calm, and that everyone does their bit to keep it a lovely place to live

you’ll also be living with Simona - she’s 24, a graphic designer for a news organisation, and loves exploring galleries and hunting down great coffee spots. she’s also really into cooking, gardening and a good movie night. she’s keen to live somewhere sociable and friendly, while still being respectful of everyone’s quiet time and space

ABOUT YOU 🕺

-in your mid-20s/early 30s
-no students or couples
-cleans up as they go and wants to live in a tidy, quiet space
-loves cats 🐱
-is open to hanging out and being friends, not just chat while cooking
-emotionally mature – can communicate clearly and respectfully
-can show up as a decent, considerate flatmate – pays bills on time and is mindful of noise, especially at night (very important to us as we both often work until late!)
-up for the occasional dinner, drinks or house hang, but also knows when to keep it lowkey
-bonus if you’re a creative!
