Description

Spacious and bright double bedroom available now on the first floor of a lovely, homely 3-bed Victorian terrace house on Droop Street on the Queen's Park / Kensal Rise / Ladbroke Grove border.

The available room has two large windows looking out on to the leafy street. It has solid wood flooring, a large radiator which keeps it warm in the winter and lots of handy storage: built in wardrobe, drawers and shelves! The room comes with a double bed, mattress, mirror and curtains with blinds.

You would be living with 2 other female professionals: Iona and Sidonie, both with their own schedules but up for staying in with wine and a good film, or arranging a ‘family’ dinner. The house certainly needs somebody who wants to be part of the family and get involved in caring for the house - it’s a real home and we want somebody in the room who will appreciate that and care for it too. A bit about us: Iona (28) is a film and television production professional. When she isn't busy working she is off to art exhibits or the cinema! Sidonie (21) is a actor and works at The Chiltern Firehouse. She moved to London for acting when she was 16, so is old beyond her years! She loves a chat over a good cuppa and In her spare time she loves to bake.

The house consists of a good sized garden, conservatory space which is used for storage, large open plan living and dining, kitchen (with dishwasher - bonus!) and one downstairs bathroom with bath (and shower over the bath).

The area is great - it’s peaceful but very close to all sorts of exciting places such as Kensal Rise just round the corner which is great for pubs and cafes for brunch. Notting Hill and Portobello are a 10-20 minute walk and the No. 18 bus gets you in to central in 30 minutes (it’s also a night bus, perfect for getting back after a night out). Queens Park tube (Bakerloo) is around a 10 minute walk away, and Westbourne Park (Circle and Hammersmith & City), only a 15 minute walk.

The rent is £658.00 plus bills which come to between £80-£100 on average a month. The house is managed by agents (Winkworth's) as the landlord lives in Australia, however this means quick turn arounds for any queries/issues about the house and generally we found them to be very helpful with anything we have needed over the years such as new furniture, bathroom renovation etc..
