2 nights a week in mega-convenient location

Room available two nights a week. It can also be one night a week at half the price.

The flat is in a very convenient location in zone two, opposite Kensal Rise Overground Station (trains to Richmond, Clapham Junction and Stratford). From Kensal Rise, it's five unites to West Hampstead and the Thameslink and Jubilee line.

It's a ten minute walk from the flat to Kensal Green station, which has the Bakerloo line and the Overground which gets you to Euston in 10 minutes.

There are also plenty of buses that leave from Kensal Rise and it's walking distance to Ladbroke Grove and Portobello Road, and from there you're close to Notting Hill, Hyde Park and so on.

Kensal Rise has plenty of restaurants, cafes and pubs, some nice shops, a unique cinema (The Lexi) and a vibrant feel. All these things are a stones throw from the flat. There's a Tesco Express round the corner and a good range of take aways. Queens Park is a ten minute walk and is a great spot in the Summer months. And Hampstead Heath is just 10 minutes by train.

The flat is spacious and I keep it pretty clean and tidy. It's on a busy corner on a typical London street, so it's never quiet during the day and there are plenty of people passing until late due to the proximity to the stations and bus stops. The room has sash windows so doesn't block out the sound. However, every guest who has stayed has said they slept really well. The bed is very comfortable.

I'm out at work each day (I work at a meditation centre and as a fundraiser for a charity) but am around some evenings. I'm pretty quiet, and seem to be spending a lot of my free time on my sideline as a journalist these days. I'm easy going and considerate - it's important for me that a flatmate is able to relax, feel at home and can enjoy their time here as much as possible.

I'm from the north but have lived in London for 19 years. I'm always keen to help people feel at ease in what can be a hostile city.
