Description
Friendly, considerate family with children 7 and 4 offer accommodation in stylish self contained garden studio.
Move in date flexible (Early July-beginning of August) and we would need you to be able to do some trial childchare shifts prior to move in.
We are looking for a tenant who is able to offer regular weekly childcare in return for very reduced rent.
You will need to be free to drop off and pick up our children from school three set days per week (8-9am and 3pm-6pm, a total of 12 hours per week) for significantly reduced rent (£80/month). There would be the option to work additional paid hours in the school holidays and we are ideally looking for someone who can offer these additional hours over the summer holidays (July-beginning of September).
The eco studio is architect designed, newly built, well insulated to be cool in summer and warm in winter with under floor heating. It has fitted wardrobe, good kitchen storage, and lift up small double bed with storage inside. The kitchen has hob, air fryer oven, fridge, air fryer, microwave and a washer/dryer.
Access is through the family house. House and studio share a pleasant garden and it is a safe, family neighbourhood. We are conveniently located on a quiet street a 5minute walk from Kensal Rose station with interesting shops and eateries and a short walk to the leafy Queens Park. The canal, Portobello road and Notting Hill area are all just a 15 min walk.
This would suit a single female, definitely a non smoker. We are looking for someone with childcare experience who feels confident in being able to build a good relationship with our two boys. Unfortunately we cannot consider couples. In view of the proximity to the house and family neighbourhood we are looking for someone who is a bit of a 'homebody' and doesn't tend to have late nights out. Ideally you would be looking for a tenancy of at least 12 months.
Please write telling us all about yourself, (education, hobbies, interests, cooking, lifestyle) and your experience with children. Please let us know clearly when you would expect to be able to move and how you will be able to make the childcare hours work around your current commitments.
Due to the high number of responses we will not be able to respond to everyone. You are more likely to receive a reply if you write to us with the information mentioned above. Many thanks! Please do not apply if you need to move in before July as the studio won't be available.
Update 21/5/25 - We currently have a high number of viewings arranged so will not be replying to any messages until those are completed. You are still welcome to message as if those applicants don't work out we may arrange further viewings.
