Double Room in Flat w/ Garden around Kensal Rise

Hi! Lovely double room available in a stunning flat in Kensal Town, just a 25min. walk from Notting Hill and Ladbroke Grove (Hammersmith and Circle lines), 5min. walk from Kensal Green (Bakerloo) and 10min. walk from Kensal Rise (Overground)!

There is a large Sainsbury’s just a few minutes away with a few Tesco Express options as well, gyms and a Sports Center nearby, and a 20min. walk away from beautiful Queen’s Park, so it is a very connected area.

The flat is a two bedroom with a shared bathroom. You would be taking the south facing sunny room :)

A little about the room:
- unfurnished (but negotiable as our current flatmate may be open to selling some of her furniture).
- tons of built-in storage with a spacious built-in wardrobe, built-in open shelving + closed/doored shelving (see photo!)
- space for a double bed, desk and extra bits and bobs
- two south facing windows which means it’s the sunniest spot of the flat
- hardwood flooring

About the flat:
- One shared bathroom with a bathtub and washer/dryer. There is a small cabinet which we share as well.
- There is not much storage outside the room unfortunately, except for a loft space where there is a bit of space left for storage!
- There is a second room we share as a couple.
- One open living/kitchen space with our desk. We tend to use the living space more as a work space as we work from home often, and as a couple there is not much space in our room!
- A beautiful back garden + decked patio (featuring Sloane our cat in the photos). We care after the garden as one of us is a landscape architect.

Bills usually come to a maximum of £150pp so far, but usually ranges anywhere from £110 (spring/summer) to £150pp (autumn/winter) per month. This is on top of rent and includes the usual: broadband, council tax, gas, electricity, water, and we also include any costs of replenishing kitchen/bathroom items, kitchen/toilet paper, handwash, washing up liquid, sponges, bin liners etc. month by month. We have a shared Splitwise for the flat.

About us:
We are a couple, Florin and Dalia, who share the second room and also have a friendly rescue tabby cat named Sloane. Whoever takes the room should be ready to make a new animal friend!

We are both professionals, Dalia a landscape architect, and Florin a writer and programmer.

We like to keep a relaxed, tidy home with calm, warm and cosy vibes, and love a pub dinner together from time to time! Or a dinner outside in the garden when it’s nice and sunny. We have a great pub two doors down from us with a lovely pub garden, which is a plus!

An ideal flatmate would be similar in a chill lifestyle, looking for a cosy and relaxed space, appreciates cleanliness and caring towards the home, maybe appreciates similar music taste as we tune into music over TV, and currently growing a record collection!

The flat was originally unfurnished, but we’ve built in into a home so most of the kitchen/living space is furnished by us and we’d expect whoever shares it with us would treat the space and furniture with care.
