Description
Hi my name is Natasha!
My apartment is available in the Kensington/Kensington Olympia/Brook Green area. It is a 2 bedroom apartment.
The smaller room (£1290) will be available 20th December/1st January. (My flatmate is moving back home after 2 years! she is 'officially' moving out 1st January but flying out of the country 20th December if you really need to move in earlier)
(If you need to move even sooner than this, I'm actually away myself for a bit of December so we could potentially work something out!)
I occupy the master bedroom however I am usually away for long periods (my current flatmate has had the apartment to herself for approx 6 months lol) I own the flat!
If you'd like the bigger room instead there's some flexibility in this - we can discuss it! (I'm not desperate to rent out my master bedroom whilst I am away however definitely flexible!)
***ROOMS***
-MASTER BEDROOM-
-The master bedroom has: double bed with full storage underneath, tall double wardrobes to the ceiling, marble desk and chair, mirrors, 2 windows (we are in a corner house so the apartment has lots of windows all around and lots of natural light)
(Different people have chosen to move the furniture in the room differently as you can see from the photos. Please feel free to configure as you want/ bring any of your own items! Also please excuse the clutter in the video, it's from an old tenant :) )
-BEDROOM 2-
-Bedroom 2 has: double bed with storage space underneath (4 large deep drawers) and basically any furniture you want - I'm flexible. There is also an extra large tall double wardrobe to the ceiling directly outside the room that is solely for your use, lockable etc.
(My current flatmate has an extra large desk in there, 2 chest of drawers, large full length mirror, plants etc, all of which she will be taking back home with her - I’ve previously had a wardrobe, piano and desk in there)
The bedrooms come furnished as per the pictures but can be unfurnished if you like.
-LIVING ROOM-
-Living room has: Double sofa, dining table and 4 chairs, crosstrainer to work out (if you'd like to work out at home!) decorative fireplace, a big fridge (We have 2 fridge/freezers in the apartment, one large, one smaller - so plenty of space!!)
-KITCHEN-
-Kitchen has: clothes washer and dryer, fridge/freezer, agar with oven and hobs, sink, microwave, plenty of storage and all the usual amenities
(Appliances-wise, personally I only really use a microwave and thermomix (sometimes I’ll pull out a nutribullet) but feel free to bring anything you like! (eg My current flatmate got herself a coffee machine/kettle/toaster that she’s taking back with her)
(Please excuse the boxes/clutter in the kitchen video, it's from an old tenant packing to move out :) haha )
-BATHROOM-
-Enclosed shower with 18 stage water filter (so you're not showering in horrible London water!), in built storage cupboard with lots of shelves, sink etc.
-BASEMENT-
-Large additional storage room. If you want to put suitcases etc in our storage downstairs you can if you want to! It’s really big and basically empty right now, private to our apartment and lockable - the guy who I bought the place from left 5-6 planks of wood in there which I’m going to throw away but other than that it’s totally empty - I may convert the storage later ).
It’s quite big so could e. g. store 6+ bicycles so you get an idea of the size.
-PARKING-
-As residents we get discounted parking for ourselves, family and friends (there is pay and display parking on the street outside).
If you have a car that you'd like to have your own permanent spot for outside, we can easily get a long term residents car parking permit.
-BROADBAND-

There are lots of great amenities / restaurants around us, but the street itself is really quiet, non-touristy, homey and residential.
Past people I have lived with have always appreciated leaving our living space in a super tidy condition as we really appreciate a really well-kept living space to live in. I'd ideally like to live with someone who is also very tidy. I don't smoke and would prefer someone who doesn't smoke indoors also! (also very neat and I don’t leave clutter lying around the flat to make it tidy for the other person, however your bedroom is your personal space to do as you wish obviously!) and don’t wear shoes indoors so I'd ideally love someone who also wants to keep the flat very clean and tidy.
***YOU***
I have no problem if you eg work from home! I've seen some adverts on here with people a bit weird about people who work from home which I find kind of odd :) - we don't have weird rules like that here! We're just respectful of each other. It's your home!!
Also no issues with you having people round/cooking - please cook as much as you want/have friends round!
(Thought I would clarify as I've seen some really odd adverts on Spareroom saying eg no guests allowed / no cooking!!)
(I have personally used the oven 5 times in 2 years and the hob maybe 10 times as I don't love cooking. Personally in 2 years, i’ve had 5 people come round to say hi for a few hours, I'm really quiet at home.. but I don't like to impose so please treat it like your home and do as you please!) Also feel free to have people come stay! (On my side only really my Mum may visit me once a year for a weekend and stay with me in my room, however she usually prefers to stay at my sister’s as they have a big house with multiple guest bedrooms lol) Previous flatmates have had friends come visit for the weekend from oversees, again no drama! (So long as I can come use the living room/kitchen etc we’re all good and would love to say hi to your friends!)
The only real rules are being respectful/tidy/not having huge loud parties/not disturbing the neighbours.
I don't have any pets but don't mind if you do
I am pretty much a ghost at home due to my workload however you may see me pop into the kitchen to grab a drink/lunch etc during the day! (I did have a girl staying once who didn’t like anyone coming into the living room or kitchen to grab an item when she was in there, so if that is you sadly it won’t work! Although I’m barely there you need to be okay with living with people)
***ME!***
I work a lot, however when (finally!) not working like to go out for dinner. The flat is a really peaceful quiet environment. I am really reliable, easy to get on with, straightforward and work-focused and so I'm really just looking for people who are decent and similar. I love having the odd brunch together with a flatmate sometimes on a weekend (but totally not a necessity if you're busy etc!) I am very mindful and very much looking for people who are just super friendly and nice, with their own life and friends (and not clingy (!) as I work a lot) and hopefully can catch a drink/dinner together if you fancy!
I also get invited to quite a lot of black tie events so if you're into that kind of stuff, I always have a plus 1 ticket!!
I've worked in Investment Banking previously and wellness industry (currently a startup founder in the Music Industry and I have an Education Consulting business) but I have broad interests like wellness / art / fashion / astrology (Capricorn sun, Leo Rising, Sag moon if you’re curious/into that!! lol! so yes, workaholic/‘happy go lucky’! lol) / love going to Paris and LA / Going to restaurants, my faves are Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, African, anything Asian / I love Chinese medicine / gluten-free bakeries (there’s a cool French one that’s just opened in London called ‘Copain’ that I’m super excited about!) etc etc. I’m British but I’m super curious about different cultures, different nationalities etc!
Not very sporty but love going for Pop music dance classes eg at Pineapple Studios! (Love Nsync / Backstreet Boys, super into Pop music - so I’m probably listening to that with my headphones in walking round the flat!! lol!!!)
Like getting dressed up occasionally to go to a nice dinner but I can be a bit of a tomboy at times, eg I’m not massively into makeup etc (so I’m not going to be e. g. hogging the bathroom putting my makeup everyday for an hour lol)
I like people with a positive mindset! I’m also not the type of person who personally gets offended easily, am pretty flexible and prefer people who are just good communicators.
Whatever you're into, so long as you're a friendly, respectful, happy, self aware person I'm sure we'll get on great! (No moody personalities please!!)
I'm a pretty direct / no drama / 'what-you-see-is-what-you-get' type person. I grew up in Manchester and go to Manchester regularly!
***BILLS***
-Bills are paid each month split equally between 2 with accurate receipts!
-We give meter readings to gas/electric company (Octopus Energy) once a month so we don’t get overcharged. You get your own key to the meter room downstairs (my current flatmate and I are pretty organised with this eg she takes a photo, WhatsApps me and I submit it)
***MAINTENANCE***
There is a guy that comes to do a bit of maintenance once every 3 months for an hour. Also with some flatmates we’ve opted to get a cleaner, some have preferred to clean themselves - I’m really flexible!
***VIEWINGS***
-My flatmate who is leaving has a lot of additional furniture in her room / big plants in the living room, appliances in the kitchen etc not mentioned above that she is taking back home with her - so if you come for a viewing, please bare in mind that you’ll see a lot of furniture etc that won’t be there if you rent the flat - the pictures and videos above are the furniture that comes with the flat.
(also her bed is currently moved pushed up to the door and against another wall as that is her preference, as I said I am not fussy about stuff like that, it’s your bedroom to do as you please! She’ll be moving the bed back, as per the photos above prior to her moving out)
***CONTRACT / TENANCY AGREEMENT***
I have a standard month-to-month contract however if you need something different let me know!
Previous flatmates and myself have preferred to do it this way, more so as a level of protection in case there are any issues / unexpected surprises like job loss etc (although I’d prefer someone who wants to stay long term!) My current flatmate is on a month-to-month contract and stayed for 2 years… prior to buying a place, when I was renting I was also on a month-to-month contract with my landlord but rented his apartment for 10 years (!) so I find it just works well.
But as I said, if you want something different, just communicate! I’m reasonable.
Look forward to meeting you!
If at work I won't be able to answer a phone call however if you WhatsApp me with a bit about yourself (number in advert) or just send me a message on spareroom, we can arrange a time for a call to say hi and arrange an in person viewing.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!
Natasha

If at work I won't be able to answer a phone call however if you WhatsApp me with a bit about yourself (number in advert) or just send me a message on spareroom, we can arrange a time for a call to say hi and arrange an in person viewing.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!
