Hi. Looking for a lovely new female lodger to come and live with us in our large, characterful, three storey Victorian house in Kentish Town.
The house is on a pretty, quiet, tree lined road but is only 5 mins from KT tube and numerous buses. The area has loads of pubs, cafes, shops and is very near to Hampstead Heath for walking in nature, running and swimming. We are also less than 10 mins from KT West or Gospel Oak overground stations.
The room itself is furnished with mid century light wood furniture - large wardrobe and drawers - and a double bed, with plenty of room for your own stuff and a desk. There are large windows facing the street, wooden flooring and an original fireplace. The room measures 14ft 3 x 12ft 3 (4.32m x 3.75m).
There is a very large sunny bathroom on your landing which is shared with the other two rooms. The kitchen and living room downstairs are used by us all. There is a very large garden which is lovely to sit out in/eat in during the warmer months. We like to get together occasionally for meals, TV, especially quizzes, and look forward to the pub... but we also spend time on our own and being a big house, can be separate and nice and quiet too.
We use eco-friendly cleaning products (we have a cleaner for communal areas), dishwasher, washing machine and broadband.
Also, if you only like new builds, Ikea, minimalism it's probably not for you as I quite enjoy an antiques/vintage mash-up. I like it clean and tidy too though. I have a very friendly dog and two super-cuddly hypo-allergenic cats so liking animals is a must as they will want to check out what you are up to in your room on a regular basis!
I am a musician/artist/upholsterer and spend a lot of time gardening or fixing things around the house. The others are an art historian and a veterinary student. We're not a party house, so we're looking for someone friendly but quiet, with a mature outlook who is happy to fit in with all the above and bring a new dimension to our household.
