Description
Room available in our flat-share in Kentish Town / Gospel Oak area.
The room is on the small side. It is narrow, but quite long (pictures should demonstrate this) - still fits a double bed, a wardrobe and a small desk. The room comes furnished. There is also a storage cupboard next to the room which is reserved mostly for the person occupying this room.
The flat is on the top floor of a low-rise block of flats, and has a big communal terrace looking out over communal gardens which we also have access to. When the weather is good you can enjoy sitting outside and in the summer we have BBQs from time to time.
We share the bathroom and separate toilet; and then the kitchen which is well-stocked including appliances and crockery etc. and with a large table you can sit at to eat.
Your flatmates would be three young professionals - two males and one female currently. It's fairly quiet here, and people do their own things a lot of the time, but we also get on well and regularly socialise in the communal areas.
The lease is up for renewal in October. Three of us current flatmates are looking to renew for 1 more year. The other current flatmate is moving out, therefore we are looking for a new person to sign onto the new lease for the upcoming year. Rent is currently £600pm for this room, though there might be a small increase when we renew the lease (we will initiate conversation with the landlord once we find the new person to join us!) Bills and communal expenses amount to approx. £70 per month currently which is on top of the rent.
The area is well located for transport and also green space. It's around a 10 minute walk to the bottom of Hampstead Heath at Parliament Hill.
We are close to town - especially north central and the west end. You can cycle or get a bus easily into town - e. g. you can get to Kings Cross or Euston in around 20 minutes.
Public transport-wise there is Gospel Oak overground around 5 minutes' walk away which connects to east London; then approx. 12 minute walk to the Northern line at Chalk Farm; and Kentish Town station is a similar distance and connects to the Thameslink mainline trains (including direct connection to Gatwick and Luton airports).
