We're in an excellent spot, right near the heath. Its great to be able to amble over to the heath and enjoy the sunshine or go for a swim in the lido or in the open water pools if you're brave (and organised, which I have not been yet). There's also a city farm just around the corner and some great pubs just down the road.
The house itself is a good size with all of the essential utilities. Plenty of cupboard space, large kitchen, good shower, spare fridge + freezer, big storage room at the front of the house. A bit weathered in parts, but the landlord keeps things in good nick on the whole.
There is currently two of us in the house. Me (Joe) a software developer and Dan who's made his own career path interpreting the impact of developing US law for journalists (as best as I've understood it). We're both socialable but understandably busy - especially Dan as of late - so you won't necessarily see much of us during the week. We're looking for someone laidback, who parties until sensible hours and/or doesn't make too much noise when they come home.
The advertised rent is based on the rent for May and June. The landlord is putting the rent up from July so it would go up to £1011 a month from then till the end of the year.
Bills would also be shared. Currently this would be another £155 a month (council tax, electricity, gas, internet and a cleaner twice a month).
The total deposit is currently 5 weeks rent, e. g. £2884.60 going up to £3500 in July. Your contribution would be a third of that: ~£961 and then up to £1166 from July.
