Description
We’re looking for a new flatmate to move in to our place in Kentish Town. The date is approximately the middle of June (TBC).
It is a double room, which comes furnished. Also in the flat is a large kitchen and dining room, plus a separate bathroom and toilet and two additional shared closets. There is a walkway at the front with some seating and planting.
The rent is £800/month, which is a great deal for Zone 2 living. The utilities add another £60/month or so, and there's also Council tax which is £56/month (although if you are a student you are exempt from this). Our landlord/agency says you either have to be a working professional (on a 21K salary min) or a full time student with a UK guarantor.
The building is in a residential area with some older housing stock, and is well connected to public transport being a 10 minute walk to either Kentish Town Station (Northern Line, Thameslink) or Tufnell Park (Northern Line), plus a 5 minute walk to Gospel Oak station (Overground). It is also about a 30 min cycle to central London, and there are plenty of bus services. Kentish Town has lots of good pubs and restaurants, plus there are plenty of shops and all the usual amenities in the area. We’re also pretty close to Camden, which is one of the major areas for entertainment in London. Perhaps the best thing is that we’re also 5 minutes from Hampstead Heath, which is great for a run or a walk, picnic, or swim; with a protected view from the top of Parliament Hill from which to see all of London.
